Lexi's pov

**BEEP BEEP BEEP**
As I rolled over to turn my alarm off I smiled realizing that today i'm going to the zoo, I haven't been there before so I was really excited when Cameron asked me, we didn't have a zoo in my home town when I was growing up.

I got up and went straight into the bathroom to have a shower when I was done I picked out my outfit which was a turquoise skater dress from the surf shop down the road and a pair of red converse (I own a lot of converse) I went downstairs to make breakfast and saw that Cameron had already made me a fruit salad and pancakes, god I love him after I finished breakfast I grabbed my wallet, iPhone and keys and went over to Cameron's house.

Cameron's pov

I woke up early to make Lexi some breakfast, I thought it was the least I could do for someone amazing like her, I made her fruit salad and pancakes and took it over to her house when I got there I heard the water running so I put it on the bench for her and went back home to get ready.

"Where have you been huh?" Hayes questioned as I walked inside "just making breakfast for my girlfriend, whats been happening with your girlfriend?" I replied "uuhhh well she dumped me but the feelings were mutual" "damn boy that must've sucked" to be honest I never liked her, Hayes always complained about her I don't really think he liked her either but anyways, I went upstairs and had a quick shower, chucked on a Nash Grier shirt and some shorts, grabbed a pair of vans and headed downstairs.

Lexi's pov

My phone started ringing just as I got to Cameron's door "Hello is this Lexi Johnssen?" The mysterious voice said on the phone "uhm yeah, may i ask who this is?" I replied not knowing what else to say "this is the hospital, I believe your friend Annie Karma Hunter has been hit by a truck and is in a coma as we speak" I can't believe what just came through the phone line, Annie doesn't talk to her family anymore so I was all she had, but I can't loose her she's my only girl friend here, I need her, I broke down into tears as I hung up the phone, I fell to the ground holding my head.

Cameron's pov

I could hear crying coming from my front door and immediately realized is was Lexi, I ran to the door and opened it seeing Lexi on the ground balling her eyes out.

"Baby what happened? Are you hurt? Are you okay?" So many things were going through my head right now I was freaking out "Annie....is....in....a....coma..." I heard her say through her crying and after she said that more tears rushed out her eyes, I sat her on my lap and hugged her till she stopped crying.

Lexi's pov

"Do you want to go to the hospital and see her?" Cameron asked and I nodded, he picked me up and put me in the passenger seat of the car the drive to the hospital I couldn't stop crying, Cameron had his hand intertwined with mine which made me a little happier but right now all I can think about is Annie, I can't loose her, not now, not yet.

We got out of the car and ran into the hospitals front desk and they told me where she was and i ran to her room, I stopped at her door and looked at her, she seemed so peaceful, so precious, so......happy, maybe it would be the best for her.

You see Annie's parents abandoned her and her older brother and sister but she never liked her siblings so she ran away from the orphanage that she was put into, she was homeless for quite awhile and had a lot of trouble fighting to live until one day when she was 15 a rich couple came along the street and took her to there house gave her food, clothes an education and a place to stay but they passed away last year from a deadly illness, I can't quite remember what it was called, and ever since then all she has been thinking about is suicide and cutting herself until she met me, I made her stop all of that by showing her I really cared.

"Take your time" Cameron told me as I looked at her from the doorway, I slowly made my way up to the chair that was next to her and asked Cameron if I could be alone with her for a moment, "I understand if you let go but just know that I will always love you, care for you and if you come back I will look after you till you're better again, you're not alone Annie I will always care about you not matter what, I can't get you out of this Annie you have to do it yourself, don't walk towards the light, run away and I will be here when you wake up, please Annie wake up, wake up" I couldn't help but cry again and Cameron came in and hugged me.

**3 weeks later**

I haven't left Annie since she came into hospital, I haven't showered but Cameron has been bringing me food everyday and he stays with me most of the time, I have cried just about everyday and i'm starting to think shes not coming back, I decided to go down to the cafeteria to eat something and get some coffee and when I came back there was 4 doctors in the room surrounding Annie "what's wrong is she okay?" I said worried with what they would say, one of the doctors turned around and said......
