Your POV
"Did you hear?", Jennie asked.
"Hear what?", I questioned.
"Your opponent side just made a really big move, do you really not know?"
"No, what did they do?", I acted oblivious so that I could receive some more information, a tactic that has proved to be effective in the past.
"I don't believe you. Everybody pretty much knows.", she says.
"Just tell me Jennie!", I moan.
"The Yang's wants peace.", she giggled.
"What?", I faked shock, "What do you mean they want peace?"
"They said they're done with feuds. They ask for peace and to make it formally bonded, they offer their third son to any daughter of you Yin's.", she spilled.
"You're joking.", I mocked.
"I am not!", she defended, "Turn on the news and I bet it'll be on the headlines."
"Ok fine, I believe you but tell me more.", I take care to slowly slide out some more information from her.
The Yin and Yang oppositions are two powerful families that control much of the world. Both are set out cautiously like a chess board and so every important move made by either family are marked by chess terminologies. You either support the Yin's or the Yang's, there's no in between. I'm very obviously a Yin, reason being that I'm the King and Queen's (the highest ranker on the Yin's side) granddaughter. More specifically, I'm their oldest daughter's oldest daughter which makes me highly influential. My every move is tracked by paparazzi and others, to be honest, I'm quite tired of it already and I'm only eighteen. Jennie's just a commoner but she supports the Yang's. Nevertheless, we're friends. Friends as we call it, business as I think of it. As she tells me about the details that only Yang supporters and the Yang's themselves would know, I'm satisfied with my skilful work. Any information I gather is immediately passed on to my Mum who will then pass it on to my Granddad and Grandma.
"I don't believe they want peace.", I say.
"You never know, maybe it really is the end of these feuds. I'm sick and tired of all this fighting.", Jennie repulses.
"Still don't agree with you. They probably want to insert one of their members in to our family so they can receive information faster.", I point out.
"That very well could be true. You guys, it's too much tea for me to consume.", she jokes.
I laugh along with her but internally, I'm cringing. Just the thought of one of my aunties marrying the third son of the Yang's make me want to puke. We have lunch together and then she leaves. I put on my black cloak and haul myself on to Ebony, my horse. My parents insist that I use a carriage to travel from one place to another but I prefer solely riding on Ebony. A slight drizzle of snow begins to fall so I put my hood up and begin to ride to the main residence where we all live. We all have our own secondary residences, most of my family doesn't use theirs but I use mine as a place for meeting friends and getting away from people.
Yoongi POV
"Please, you can't be serious. There's no way Uncle's going to get married to a Yin.", I say.
"I'm not lying. Granddad set out the proposal this morning and is waiting for a response from them.", my brother informs.
"Oh come on. What sort of move was that?", I groan.
"It's actually a pretty smart one.", he smirks.
"Can I ask how?", I roll my eyes at him.
"Granddad said it's for peace, that's how it's displayed to the media but actually, it's so we have someone from our family entwined with theirs so we can get news of their plans faster.", he explains.
"I still don't think it's a good idea. Poor guy, he's going to live the rest of his life with his enemies if they agree.", I sympathise.
"Ok whatever you say. I got to go. My friend's coming over soon.", and then he leaves.
This can't be for real. I feel sad for Uncle but even I can't lie. That's a crucial and extremely smart move to make. Gladly, I'm the second son of Granddad and Grandma's eldest daughter so not too much attention is on me. I'm looking out of the window of my room, the slight snowfall is turning heavier by the second and the whole scenery seems like something out of Winter Wonderland. I hear a horse galloping and then a black horse appears with a hooded rider. I don't catch much sight of the rider but it's a girl. Seeing her wear black instantly tells me that she's a Yin. Even though the rider's of enemy blood, something about her makes me look twice. She faces me for a second. Her skin in contrast in an unstained white and her lips are apple red. Then she continues to ride away. This must be Y/N. I've heard much about the most important granddaughter of the Yin's. Powerful and pretty too, a precious piece to the game then. I have no doubt the Yin's will be using her to their advantage. I wonder what she's like as a person. When the rhythmic sound of horse galloping becomes too distant to hear, I retire from the window sill and slump on to my bed. Catching sight of myself in the mirror, I regret the last few minutes. Have I really just wasted them on thinking about a Yin?
