"those came with the newer update." zubin shivers, his blood running cold. "we don't talk about the new update."
"let's try them!!!! it would be good to switch things around a bit."
"yeah. #among #us gets pretty BoRinG after a #while" joe takes another draw from his blunt.
rob turns the roles on. let's try something new babey !!!!
the game starts. who is the imposter?? we'll soon find out, won't we??
the tallies all leave the table to go do tasks. i won't go into specifics. just imagine them tasking. swippin their cards. doin their scans. taking out the trash. you get the gist.
two of them are in navigation: ross, & another tally who's sneaking up on him. an among us kill sound is heard. ross falls over in real life.
the others start to panic (except zubin. he's used to the ways of among us by now. he's numb to it. broken. shattered. emo.) in a few moments, andrew finds the body!! uh oh!! emergency meeting time!!!
god bless i just want this chapter to be over so i can write the only actually good part of this fanfiction god bless hurry up.

"anybody sus?" zubin looks around & glares at everyone in the circle.
"i was in the cafeteria.."

joe takes another really long inhale of his fat one. "nO."
anyway nobody votes for anybody else. the imposter gets away... who could it be?
the tallies go back to doing their tasks. if i elaborated on what they were doing, you'd immediately know who was the imposter & i actually am KIND OF trying to keep it hidden but based on patterns & another huge clue you probably already figured out who it is.
anyway. andrew is in electrical. but then he GETS KILL!!!! another among us kill sound is heard. omg!!!!!!! rob reports the body.

"he was in electrical :(" rob looks up at andrew with pity, who has fallen over in real life.
"any sus?" zubin suspects.
nope. there were no sus. now it's just the primary colours. oh boy! the meeting is over nobody was voted for; uh oh! there is still one imposter among them.
"rob come watch me scan in medbay" zubin said, less of a question & moreso a demand.
"ok!!! :)"
rob & zubin go to medbay while joe goes off & does his own fuckass thing. you may think i say this with anger or resentment, but i say it in deep respect.
rob is doing the little among us dance (moving your character back & forth while basically standing in the same place) while zubin scans. but uh oh!! guess who comes in through the medbay vents!!!

after scanning, without missing a beat, zubin runs towards the emergency meeting button & presses it.
"JOE VENTED!!!!" finally! zubin had visual proof, & the other person saw it. he was finally going to be listened to in among us. he would finally get this one right.
"yeah, joe... that's pretty sus! crewmates can't use the vents"
"but... but i'm the engineer"
"SILENCE!!!" yells zubin. "WE HAVE ALREADY MADE UP OUR MINDS."
joe is voted out. he starts floating in real life, which is just what happens when you're ejected.
but then suddenly, the imposter win screen shows up!!
zubin looks to his phone, bewildered. there was no way he was actually tricked, right? no way he actually lost an among us match without any bullshit shenanigans, right? surely this must have been a glitch. he looks up to the actual imposter.
"rob?? you were the imposter??"
rob laughs. "i got you!!! i won!!! :)"
joe stops floating & falls on the ground from the air. "you did a pretty good job, rob. you had everybody."
"yeah," ross is real again. "you did pretty well :)"
"thanks guys :)))))" rob is very happy about his win.
zubin's phone slides out of his hands, landing on the floor next to him. his hands grip the floor, as he looks down, on his knees, shamefully.
"no... there's no way."
"what's wrong, zubin?" rob cares about his friend !! he doesn't want zubin to be upset!!
"how, rob... how are you actually good at among us?"
"he has experience in killing people through others & getting away with it" andrew is filing down his nails.
"what does that mean??"
"don't worry about it!! it doesn't matter :)!!!" rob nudges zubin, giving him a hug. "but it's ok! it's just among us, zubin! don't sweat!"
"so... are we done now? i'm getting pretty bored." joe ran out of blunt so now he's talking normally again.
"i guess we can be done, if you guys are finished!" rob is such a nice & good friend.
"yeah, i'm getting kinda hungry. we should probably take care of ourselves instead of playing among us all day" ross is so smart! andrew agrees with him which i guess also makes him kinda smart. i guess.
four of the tallies stand up & start to make their way into the kitchen, until they notice a presence missing from their group.
the four look back to see zubin, still hunched over on his knees. they can't see his face because he's looking down & he's also emo, so it's just hair. zubin's hands are visibly shaking.
"uh... zubin...?"
