Meeting Meliodas's Parents

Before we start yes I know Meliodas's father is dead and is the demon king but in this one shot he has different parents but they're still demons. We got that? We cool? Okay then let's do this

Ban's POV
'It's going to be fine. It's going to be fine. It's going to be fine. It's going to be fine.' I kept repeating these words in my head as I was pacing in front of the tavern and the sins were watching me. "It's going to go great! Don't worry Ban." Diane said. "Thanks Diane. But I'm still worried about everything." "Why are you freaking out so much." King asked. "Well there is one thing..." "Which is what exactly?" Merlin asked. "The war." I finished. "The what?" Gilthunder asked out of no where with Howzer and Griamore. "Ah yes that war." Merlin said. "For the longest time the human clan and the demon clan would fight for land. The years were hard and filled with blood. The humans durning that time we're actually more like Ban. Strong, powerful, brave, but also greedy. Till this day human don't get along well with demons and vise versa. So Ban really does have all right to be nervous." "Wait you really think all those things about me?" I said wiping a fake tear. She just rolled her eyes at me. "So in other words Ban might never be able to see Sir Meliodas again?" Griamore stated. "Well it would. But since it's our captain we're talking about, then we're going to help Ban." Merlin said again. "And how are you going to do that?" I asked. "By making you look like a demon."

At Merlin's lab
"So how exactly are we going to do this?" I asked. "Well we just need to make you look like a demon and if they ask you about your demonic powers or anything then I'll help with that." "Wow you've never done anything this nice for me before." "Yes now take off your sweatshirt and shirt (I made him have different clothes in this one but you don't have to)." "Why?" Howzer asked. "We're going to need to put black markings all over his body. It would be preferable if you just had black markings but we're not making you do that." I sighed in relief at the end. Seeing someone like Derieri having only black markings I was fine with only some on my chest, arms, and face.
After a while of Merlin making darkness with magic then putting it on my body, it was done. I stood up and looked in the mirror that she had. I looked pretty good actually. I turned around and looked at my back, then a little closer to my face. "Here. You're going to want to put these on." Merlin said. I looked at what she gave me. It was an outfit like Monspeed's but with red armor instead of gold, and the pants were black. But the cloak was still white. "Why do I have to wear this?" I asked not really wanting to. "It's a traditional demon outfit. So put it on unless you never want to see the captain again. She left the room so I could get changed and to also join the others. When I got done I went out of the room and outside. I actually looked okay in it. It wasn't the best outfit in the world but it was comfortable. "So how do I look?" I asked. Everyone looked at each other than me. "Like a demon." They all said then laughed. "Perfect." I said back looking over myself again.
"Okay so asked Meliodas's parents to meet me early so I can get to know them before Meliodas comes back." I said to everyone but more to myself. "Good. Now we're going to be here for support and we're all humans." Merlin said to me. "But me, Griamore, and Gil are already-" "Yes we know, then just act like you but more mature." Merlin said again cutting Howzer off.
After a while we all felt a giant shake then we saw his parents. His dad was a lot taller then I imagined. His mom was about the same hight as him if not shorter. 'Guess that's where he got his short genes.' I thought as they came walking over to me. "Oh! You must be Ban! My Mel Mel has told me everything about you! (Except that he's a human)." His mom said as she ran over to me. "Oh! He did? Well actually I would think he would." I said earning a chuckle from his mom. 'Yes! Great first impression!' "And you must be Meliodas's father." I said moving over to him. "Hmf." He said bluntly. "My husband isn't much of a talker." His mom said moving closer to us. "But I'm just so happy my son found a such a handsome demon!" I smiled at this, happy that I didn't fuck up my first impression. "So who are all these goblin creatures?" His dad said. "Don't be rude dear." His mom said. I looked behind me at the sins. "Oh them? Right, well they're just humans." I said trying to be calm. I turned around again and saw King floating a little. I went over quickly and pushed him down. He looked annoyed until he realized what he was doing. "Wait real humans? I've never seen one before." His mom said intrigued. His father also had a surprised face.
After a while I got to know them and they got to know me (again not knowing that I'm a human). I was still extremely nervous that they would ask a question that would make me break and say that I'm a human. But I played it cool and clam. "So how long have you know our Meliodas." His mother asked. I had to think about that for a second. "Hmm years. He's been there for me especially when I needed him most. Actually he showed up just when I was about to give up on myself and the world but he helped me through it." I said actually speaking from the heart. His mom sniffled. "Please don't cry dear." Mel's father said with a blank but also sort of annoyed look. "I'm sorry. I'm just so happy my son has found such a handsome, strong, and contagious demon." I'm glad she thought all those things, but this thing bothered me. I don't know why this singular thing did. The one word she said in the sentence made me sick to my stomach.

Demon.

The fact that Meliodas's parent thought that I was a demon. It hurt my insides and if I wasn't trying to show it I would have cringed.
Some more time passed and we did activities and games. There was one where we had to make the biggest amount of darkness. I got nervous at that and signaled Merlin for help. She did and made I giant ball of darkness and made it look like I made it. Mel's parent were very impressed and I smiled back at them. Also who could fly the fastest or make the biggest set of wings. We did some other traditional demon games. "So anyone yo for another round?" I said panting a little. "No, I'm pooped." His mom said as we sat down. "Anyone hungry?" I asked. "Oh let me go get our food." His mom said. "Oh no! You're my guests, let me do it. As in me I mean King." I said glancing at him. He looked a little pissed off but that only made me happier. "Oh how amazing. You hear that hun? He must be fairly wealthy." Mel's mother stated. King wales out to get some food. "King will make the best lunch you've ever had." They both kept saying how wealthy I am and how generous I am. I had no idea what that was about.
"Okay, food is ready." King said coming out with it. Mel's parent got up but instead of eating the food they....

Began to eat him!
Like I wanted King dead but not that bad! "Ah stop stop! Why are you doing this?!" King yelled at them as the other sins tried to pull them away. "Because Ban said you'd make the best lunch we'd ever have!" Meliodas's parents said. Then something snapped in me. I thought that even if I wasn't allowed to see Meliodas again, I still don't want King to die now. I want to not go to his funeral and say it was an accident but now I would have to say it was on purpose. 'God why am I put in these situations?' I said to myself. Just then I yelled "Stop! King isn't food! Sure he might look pretty appetizing but he's really not!" I yelled using snatch to pull King away from them. When I did though, the black markings left my body. The clothes Merlin gave me turned back into my regular ones. "Ban, y-you're a human?" His mother said. I couldn't tell if she was scared or disappointed but I didn't want to know. "Look, I know if you don't want me to even do much as look at Meliodas but-" I was cut off with his mom hugging me and acting excited. Even his father was excited for some reason. They hugged me and made excited noises. "Uh, you guys okay?"
"Oh no no no noooo!" We all looked and saw Mel in front of us. "MOM! DAD! GET OFF OF HIM!" He yelled. "Oh sorry son." His mom said letting go of me. Meliodas rushes over to me hugged me and kissed me on the cheek. "I'm so so so so SO sorry." He said. "Yeah I get that, but what just happened." He let go of me and looked at all of us. "Well you see, my parents love humans. The reason for that is because a human, actually one of Ban's ancestors, saved my dad during a battle for territory." I was in shock. "Your kidding!" I said. God this is weird. "Haha yeah." Meliodas replied. I was actually kind of relived.
We all sat down as Meliodas' (yes I realized I spelt it wrong the whole time) made lunch. It looked a little weird and was in the shape of a human. "Uh I don't mean to be rude but what exactly is this?" I asked. "Oh! It's human. But it's plant based because we thought they all died in the war. They say it's supposed to taste just like the real thing though." His mom said. "Plant based human?" I said with a bit of worry. I looked over and Meliodas seemed to like it. I closed my eyes and took a bite of it. It wasn't great. 'Who enjoys this? Wait......actually this is delicious!' I thought eating more of it. "God I taste amazing!" I said eating more. All the other sins didn't dare touch it though.
Guess I was going to fit in perfectly with his family.
