Camp Counselor Pt. 2

Meliodas's POV
I woke up to those beautiful ruby eyes and glistening white fangs. Ban was smiling the most handsome smile up at me. 'What? Why do I keep thinking about him like that? Am I sick or something? Or could it be in lo-' "Hey! Earth to Mel! I asked you a question." "Oh sorry what were you saying?" He chuckled a little bit which made me blush a little. "I asked if you're ready for your first day with the kids?" "Oh, yeah! As long as I'm by your side then I'll be fine." I swear I saw him blush a little just as he turned and jumped down from my bunk. I saw he had one a shirt that had a counselor shirt with his name on it. It was black and the letters were white. It said 'BAN' on it with staff written at the top. "Hey Ban, why are you wearing that shirt." He looked down at it and I noticed it also said 'RED FOX' in the front. "Oh yeah we need to get you your counselor shirts. You have to wear them every day. It's kind of like a more comfortable uniform." He said. I nodded and looked at Ban. He also had red fox ears and a red fox tail attached to him. "Uh also what's with the costume?" I said giggling a little at the site. "Oh yeah I kind of do this thing where I wear these the first day. I just like to do it!" He like a child showing off his favorite toy. He went out of the cabin as I got out of my bunk. I liked how the bunks were because ours were separated from the rest of the boys bunks so it was kind of private. I just got changed into my shorts when Ban came back. "Here. Oh! Also the all white one is for the last day we tie dye them and it's really fun!" He said with more excitement in his voice as always. That's one of the main things I loved about him. Wait love? Eh whatever. I go and put on a yellow shirt. I look over again (Wow I'm saying that a lot) at Ban and again notice something new. His sleeves were cut or ripped off. Then I looked at my own and they looked like regular shirt sleeves. I also noticed that his red shirt wasn't just red, it was a swirl tie die of a lighter red and a darker red. The same thing with his other shirts. Huh. That's actually really adorable that he made his shirts unique. Damn it! I said adorable again! Why do it keep doing that?! After that we got out of the cabin and met up with Hendrickson and everyone else. They explained how there are going to be some other co-counselors here and there but I'm staying for the whole time.
After we got all that done we had a little time. Ban showed me around and we did some archery, went to the creek, went for a nature walk, a few other of the counselors joined in for volleyball, and also soccer. The kids came a few at a time until midday when there was a big line. Me and Ban switched off now and then for the check in and showing the boys the cabins. Later that day all the counselors and co-counselors and campers all played a game called kanutleg (have no idea how to spell it but it's a Norwegian game and it's  like a cross between soccer, baseball, and hockey) and it was really fun. Our team won. Mainly because of how hyped  and energetic Ban was about it. The score was 32 to 10. So we won by a pretty big amount.
After that I saw Hendrickson and a bunch of other counselors talking to Ban about something. I couldn't tell what it was but as soon as I came close enough they stopped. They all gave Ban a look that said "do something you idiot! Don't just stand there! Make your move!!" Ban looked back at me with a slight blush and said "H-hey Mel, could you uh met me at the creek in a little while?" I was a little confused at this. "Uh sure. But what for?" "Just come and I'll explain everything." He said with a little worry in his voice.
A little while later I was almost at the creek. 'Okay Meliodas, don't and I mean DO NOT screw this up! Oh but what if he has some bad news or something? Or what if he already has a girlfriend? Wait why would I be worried about that?! Oh my god. I really like him. Like I like like him. I love him. Yeah. YEAH! I LOVE BAN!!' I was thinking as I made it to the creek. He was waiting there as promised and he was really flustered as he fiddled with his hands. "Hi Ban!" I could tell he was caught a little off guard. "O-oh,h-hey!" I could tell something was wrong. He didn't have his really energetic nature that he usually has. Somethings up. "Uh so I just wanted to say that I-" "Let me stop you right there Ban. I know what you're going to say." "Y-you do?" "Yeah." "Oh thank the goddesses I don't want to have to tell you." "You already have a girlfriend and I know that it's a mutual feeling." "Wait wha-" "Nope. Don't say another word. I just wanted to say that I...well I love you Ban. With all my heart. If you don't want to talk to me anymore because of it I understand." I sighed and I could feel myself on the verge of tears. I just wanted to curl onto a ball and never get out of it. "Wait what?! Stop! I wasn't going to say that!" "You what? You weren't?" "No." "But you were talking to the other counselors. I just thought-" "Ohhhh. No. They were talking to me because they knew I liked you so they were trying to push me to make a move." "Oh yeah I guess that does make a lo- WAIT YOU WHAT?!?!" I yelled. "Well yeah. From the first time I saw you, and when they saw me with you, we all knew that I liked you. Not not like I love you." I was in shock. I don't know what to say. I didn't even realize that he was still talking. "I was originally going to wait until we went to the nature preserve but they told me to make a move now." Without thinking I jumped on him and engulfed him in a hug almost knocking him backwards. "I LOVE YOU TOO!!" I shouted, crying into his shoulder out of happiness. He hugged back and just then all of the counselors came out clapping and cheering from behind the bushes. We both looked at them as Hendrickson came forward. "I'm sorry I'm sorry we HAD to see how this ended." Bam and I looked at each other and then started to laugh. "Wait if you're all here then who's with the kids?" Ban asked with a puzzled look on his face that was adorable. They all thought for a second. "OH FUCK YOU'RE RIGHT!!" Draphus yelled as all of us ran to the kids.
In the end the kids didn't burn the place down the cooks sent them to their cabins and watched over them. Me and Ban went to our cabin as the kids greeted us and asked where we were. Ban and I both blushed a little bit but just said we had to take care of some counselor stuff. They bought it and went back to whatever they were doing. Me and Ban went to his bunk and I fell asleep in his arms as he read a book.
This was going to be a great summer.
