Thunder Storm

So I just got an idea when I was just sitting and I heard thunder and it made me jump
It reminded me about how I used to fear thunder and lightning
(Small spoilers for the movie Coraline but not major ones, same again for ParaNorman)

Ban's POV
I was sitting on my couch bored out of my mind. I was watching the Great British Baking Show to learn new recipes but none of them were anything interesting. The only thing that I really wanted to male were brownie cookies but no one is here to try them. My dad is on a business trip. My sister is spending the weekend at a friend's house. Even my brother is staying with his boyfriend at his house. That left me. Alone. Just what I wanted. I was still laying on the couch when I heard I got a text message. To my surprise it was from Meliodas. My oldest and best friend. Also my crush but I don't want to get into that.
'Hey, can I come over? I'm having some trouble with the homework and my brothers are annoying me.'
I almost jumped up in the air out of excitement. I wrote 'sure, why not.' I looked around the house to see if there were any messes and there wasn't really. Well apart from my sibling's rooms but I doubt he'll want to go in there. ''Hmmm, maybe I should make those cookies after all.'

I was in the middle of finishing the dough when I heard the doorbell. I stopped baking at when to open it. I glanced at myself in the mirror one last time. "Great. I have flour all over me. And how did I get it in my hair?" I asked myself walking towards the door. As I opening it I was greeted by the smiling face of a short blond haired boy. "Hi Ban!" He said waving. "Hey Mel." I said back opening the door more for him to come in. "You know you have flour in your hair, right?" He asked taking of his coat. I tried to brush some out of my hair but it didn't work. "Yeah, I know." I said walking back over to where I was making the cookies. "Whatcha doing?" He asked looking at the counter. "Trying to make this recipe. I've been wanting to learn it but no ones been around and no one will be for the rest of the weekend." I said scooping small balls of dough on a baking sheet. I slid the pan in the oven and set a timer.

"Now, what do you want to do?" I asked. I looked over and saw him eating a small spoonful of cookie dough. I sighed and laughed a little bit. "You know that stuff isn't good for you." "But your cookies are the BEST!" He whined in protest. "You can have the first one after they're cooled." I said hoping that it would make him stop eating raw eggs. He thought about it then nodded. I snatched the spoon from his hand and threw it in the sink. I scooped him up bridal style and threw him on the couch. As I jumped over the back and grabbed the remote I noticed Meliodas' face was red. 'It's probably because it's warm in here or something.' I thought.

"So, want to watch anything in particular?" I asked. "Coraline!" He said smiling. Damn why is he so cute. I scrolled through the movies until I found it. I put it on and honestly I didn't think I would really like it but it's not that bad. We were a few minutes into the movie and I heard some faint thunder in the distance. 'Must be a storm coming.' I thought turning my attention back to the TV. I couldn't though. My mind kept going to Meliodas. He's so cute and adorable and sweet. If he wasn't a human I swear he would be a gummy bear or something. I heard the timer for the cookies go off so I had to part with Meliodas for a second to take them out and let them cool.

We were at the part where the other mother becomes tall and kind of scary looking. Just that moment a bolt of lightning crashed outside the window somewhere in the sky. I wasn't that startled by it but Meliodas screamed and jumped into me. He had his eyes closed shut and was shaking. I couldn't tell if it was from the movie or from the lightning but he was scared either way. "I-I'm s-sorry." He said with a shaking voice. "It's fine." I said. He pulled himself back down onto my chest. "C-can we just s-stay like t-this?" He asked griping onto the blanket that was around him. "Of course." I said, mentally screaming out of excitement.
