Meliodas's POV
"Hey Ban! Race you back to the Boar Hat!" I yelled to Ban. We just finished getting ale and food. "No fair! I'm the one carrying the ale!" We both laughed as we ran up the hill trying not to drop anything. Ban ended up wining. Damn his long legs. "Haha I wheeze WIN! pant" The fox sin said completely out of breath. "Damn! I forgot how long your legs are!" I said also out of breath.
We both went into the tavern as everyone greeted us. Well, except Merlin. She usually doesn't come to the tavern unless she has to. "Hey, Ban! Why don't you make some food. Unless you want me to make it?" Because I added the end part Ban raced behind the counter at started cooking. As he was doing that I made my way over to Gowther.
"Please Gowther! Buddy! I just want to know what Ban really feels and thinks about me." I whisper yelled. "I'm sorry caption, I can not do that. If Ban does not desire his mind to be read, then I can not. I gave Merlin my word I would ask for permission." Gowther said to me in his monotone voice. I sighed and said "Okay." The entire day I didn't even look at Elizabeth all I could look at was Ban. I never really knew why, but everything about him to me was perfect. His spiky blue/silver hair, his piercing ruby red eyes, his toned abs and biceps, his beautiful white fangs. I'm going to tell him tomorrow. No matter how long it takes. I'll do it. I'll do it for Ban.
They day went by pretty well, Ban cooked, King got drunk after one drink, Escanor tended the bar, Gowther read, but the only thing missing was Merlin. No one has seen her all day.....

Till that night

By the end of the day when I closed the tavern and we were all drinking, Merlin showed up. "Hey Merlin! We missed you today." I said as she wandered around the tavern looking for something. "Yes, mhm." She said back not even paying attention. "W-What are you looking for lady Merlin?" Escanor asked. "If you all must know I've lost a spell. It's very dangerous and it can only be used once. I haven't found a counter spell for it so if it infers with a person it will be cast on them and I can't change them back. Well at lest not right away. I was in the middle of making the counter spell with it released itself." Merlin stated still looking. "So your saying that a dangerous spell, which we don't know what it does, can cast on anyone and you don't have a cure?" Diane asked a hint of scared and concern in her voice. "Precisely." Merlin answered. 'Great, just what I needed. The moment when I'm thinking about Ban and how I feel for him, this happens. Great.' I thought annoyed at myself.
After that we all decided it was time for everyone to call it a night. Elizabeth went back to the castle, Diane turned back into her regular size and slept outside, Gowther went to the attic, Escanor went with Merlin, King went to his shared room with Ban, and Ban went with him. Before he did though he said to me "Hey captain? Are you feeling okay? You know you can tell me anything." I sighed and said "It's nothing. Go to sleep. We have an early day tomorrow." Ban frowned a little but went to his room. "Well, night then captain." I heard him say as he disappeared up the stairs. "Good night Ban. I wish I could tell you. I really do."
——-Next Morning——-
I woke up early the next morning. I went downstairs to see Escanor, Merlin, Diane, Elizabeth, Hawk, and Gowther. 'I wonder where Ban is?' I thought as I greeted everyone. "Hey, has Ban come down yet?" I asked. They all responded with a 'no' or 'nope'.
After a while there was still no Ban. But just as I was about to go upstairs to check on him King came racing down. "CAPTAIN! MERLIN! EVERYONE! SOMETHING HAPPENED BUT I CANT EXPLAIN IT SO COME UPSTAIRS!!" He yelled. 'What the hell?' I wondered as we all made our way upstairs. "What's wrong King?" Merlin asked seeing nothing out of the ordinary in his and Ban's room. "It's not the room. It's this." Said King pointing to something. It was Ban's clothes siting on a pile on the bed. "I don't get it." I said looking at it. "You can come out." King said to the pile.
As soon as he said that the pile shifted to revel a really small, and really young, looking version of Ban. We all looked in awe. "So that's what the spell did huh?" Diane asked. "I guess so." Merlin said back. "No no no no no no no no no no no!" I said over and over again. "Captain, calm down." Escanor said. "Calm down? You expect me to calm down when our most valuable member, no offense, is now a baby?! And you want me to calm down?!" I said freaking out. 'How am I going to tell Bam how I feel now?' I thought. "Escanor is right captain. Don't get to worked up about this. I'll find a cure, now knowing what the spell did."
I calmed down a little. I felt like crying but I knew that I couldn't in front of the sins and Elizabeth. "How about King makes some clothes for Ban. Gowther, Escanor, and I will look for a cure. Diane, Elizabeth, captain, and Hawk can watch Ban. Understand?" Merlin said. Well it was more of a command. "Yeah." Everyone said. Well except me. I didn't want this to happen today. I actually wanted to tell him. I practiced for hours last night trying to figure out what to say.
Everyone made there way downstairs when I was lost in thought. I looked over at the small child with spiky blue hair, ruby red eyes, and small white fangs. They still looked as beautiful, even if they're smaller than normal. "How about we go see what everyone else is doing?" I asked the smaller male (I can't believe I can say that he's smaller). "Ba ba!" Was all o got in response. I giggled a little. "You know you don't act much differently from your grown up self." I said picking him up and putting his shirt (which is now oversized) over him. "Ba ba, Melbebobus haha!" I was kind of in shock. He just said my name. Well sort of.
When we got downstairs, the people who were assigned to watch Ban were just sitting around. "So what should we do with him?" I asked everyone placing Ban on the counter. "Piggy!" Ban yelled making grabby hands at Hawk. "Huh, would you look at that. Baby Ban is smarter than really Ban!" I rolled my eyes and placed Ban on Hawk. "Haha! Piggy!" Ban said hugging Hawk. "Awwww! He likes you! He's so cute too!" Elizabeth and Diane said together. To be honest Bam was really cute like this. But I know that we have to turn him back. So he can be a holy knight and protect everyone. He might be greedy but he also dose a good job doing it. That's the one thing I love most about him. He acts all hard core and tough but I know he actually is really soft, lovable, sweet, gentle, sincere, caring, and sometimes (very rarely) vulnerable. He only really shows that side of him to me. I wish he would show it more though.
"Hey! Get this brat off me!" Hawk yelled running around trying to throw Ban off his back. "Haha! Piggy! Haha!" Ban yelled holding on. "I can't believe he's no flying off." I said impressed. "Well you know Ban." Diane said giggling a little. The tavern door opened to revel King holding a pair of small cold clothes. "Hey guys! Where's-" King was cut off by Hawk yelling and almost running into him. Hawk stoped just in time but it made Ban fly backwards. I caught him though.
After King got up he handed me the clothes. "I think you should give him a bath and change him into these. They're kind of lose all he can sleep in them." King said. "Okay. I'll be right back then." I said holding Ban and carrying him upstairs and into the bathroom attached to my bedroom. I turned on the water and waited for it to fill up. I played a little with Ban. He was just as he was before except that he couldn't talk.
After the bath filled up I put some bubbles in it so he could play with them. "Come on Ban." I said pulling of the giant red leather shirt. He didn't have his abs anymore but I guess since he's a baby he wouldn't. Then I picked him up and put him in the tub. "Bubbles!" He said as he splashed around playing with them. I giggled at him. 'God he's adorable.' I thought. I turned him around so I was facing his back then washed his hair. He's always been weird about his hair. Kind of in the insecure side. He doesn't let anyone touch it even though it always looks so soft. For the few years he had it long I just wanted to play with it. I always wondered if he wasn't the fox sin of greed then I think he would have been the porcupine sin of greed instead. His hair did feel as soft as it looked. I wonder what his adult self would say if I washed his hair or even touched it.
I finished washing him and dried him off. I grabbed the clothes and put them on him. He made a cute pink boar hat sweatshirt and black pants. (Pictures below)
