They're Back

Kinkade POV

Suprisingly, they were completely coordinated, and didn't trip or wobble once. We followed them out, surprised by their condition. "I thought they'd be tripping over everything. They had like 30 shots a piece." I said. "Keith has a really high tolerance. He one drunk a full grown Galra under the table." Allura said. "Yeah, haha, Kolivan wasn't happy about that." Pidge said with a smile. "Is it a good idea to be letting them fly the lions right now? Maybe we could camp out here for tonight?" Hunk suggested. "Yes! Camping!" Lance yelled. "James, Keith, we're camping!" Veronica yelled. "Yay! Red can start a fire!" Keith yelled back. "Yeah, and I think I saw some gear in the back of Black. I'll go get it." James said, untangling himself from Keith and heading towards the lion. "Hey Red! Can you start a fire? Please?" Keith asked, approaching the lion. The lion roared and shot fire out of its mouth. Keith smiled and hugged it's chin. "Thanks Red. Good Kitty."

We were all next to the fire now, and I was in shock. James had already set up the tents, and made a pit around the fire. "How did he get Red to do that? I thought he was Black's paladin." I said. "Keith used to pilot red. Then when Shiro disappeared in space, he became Black's pilot. Then Shiro's clone came back, and he left, giving the clone the lion. Then he came back, and Black was his again. But he has a really strong bond with both lions, so they both listen to him." Hunk explained. "Yeah, but a little fire's nothing for my Red. She can take out an entire Galra fleet. Isn't that right girl?" Lance cooed, falling to the ground next to her. She purred and he smiled. "Good kitty."

We sat in a circle around the fire. Veronica next to me, then Lance, Ina, Rizavi, Pidge, Allura,  Hunk, Shiro, Keith, then James on my other side. "Hey, have you guys noticed that James actually isn't uptight right now?" Veronica asked, and we laughed. "Hey!" James whined. "Sorry Jamie, but she's right. You need to loosen up a bit." Keith giggled. "I did! I had like a mil- a bajillion shots! You're not much better." Lance laughed "Yeah, you guys are both stiffs." "Says the boy with a thousand different things in his hair. "Veronica shot, and he gasped. "Ronny! You wound me!" "No, that was Adam. He slapped you." Shiro said. "When you said you'd kill James if he kissed Keith again." Pidge and Hunk laughed. "Oh yeah, I forgot about that." "Wait, really?" Rizavi asked, and Shiro nodded. "Really. Lance has had a crush on Keith for YEARS, but wouldn't do jackshit. But the second James kisses him, he gets all protective." Hunk nodded "Yeah. Kept saying he kissed "his" Keith, "his" future husband-" "Hey! You promised we wouldn't talk about that!" Lance whined, and Veronica laughed. "Too bad lil bro, it's out there." "Hey, I'm no one's husband." Keith pouted. "At least,, not yet." Allura said with a smirk. "Wanna be mine?" James asked, leaning close to him and letting his head fall in his lap. "Jamie, stop it! No one's marrying me anytime soon." James jutted his lip out in a pout. "Boo." 

"Hey, hey, we should play Truth or Dare!" Rizavi suggested. "Yeah yeah yeah! Or we could just ask them questions. And since the two stiffs and mystery men are drunk, they'll spill all of their deepest, darkest secrets!" Pidge said, nodding vigourosly. "But isn't that taking advantage of them?" Allura asked, raising an eyebrow. "Oh it's fine, they'd do the same to us."  Shrio said, waving her off. "Yeah, and they probably won't remember. So we can ask them anything at all, and they'll be none the wiser." I shrugged. "Alright." "Ooh, me first. Keith, what's your middle name?" Pidge asked. "Yorak." He said, and we all laughed, even James. "Really? That's a funny name." He said, and Keith swatted his nose. "Ow!" He said, sitting up. "Bully." Keith said, crossing his arms. "James, when'd you know you liked Keith?" Ina asked. "Like, years ago. Before he went poof." James answered, smiling. "My turn. Lance, are you and Keith dating?" Lance smiled and shook his head. "No, but I wish. We did kiss though." I gasped, and Veronica looked shocked. "Really?" Hunk asked. "Yeah, I saw. Everyone can go in the training room. That's why I though you were dating." James answered. "Well, now they're even." Shiro said. "They both got to kiss Keith."
