EIGHT

The day finally came, I managed to pack my clothes on the two suitcases and used the other one for the other stuff. Menzi's mother will go with us and comes back once we've settled in.My uncle and Thembeka helped me putting my luggages inside the car, they were going to drive me to the airport where we'll meet Menzi's family. We finished packing and made sure that I left nothing behind and drove off. Reality started kicking in, that I'm leaving home. I had memories in this place,both bad and good memories, that I'll be away for seven years.
The drive to the airport was quiet, we arrived and found Menzi and his family already there. The idiot was smiling non stop. It seems like I'm the only one who isn't looking forward to this trip because he seems happy. We took my luggages from the car, their flight attendant assisted with putting them on the flight.

This is it, I'm leaving home for seven years. I swear when I'm the I'll make it worth being away for so long. I looked at my uncle,he's so happy. I don't know if he's happy that I'm leaving or he's happy that I'm going to study for my dream career. He opened his arms, I went in for a comfortable long hug. I didn't feel like letting go. I'm now caught between two thoughts, I want to go and study but I don't want to go. Hello, I will be all alone there because I can't even make friends. Wait! What am I saying? Menzi will also be there, right? I rather stop whining, I finally let go of him and looked at Thembeka. She smiled and opened her arms, I also went in for a hug. We hugged and pulled out of each other.
Her :" I won't lie, I will miss you somuch but thanks God cellphones are for that right? Communicating with someone who is away?"
I nodded with tears flowing down on my cheeks, she's also crying but she wipes my tears with her hands.
Her :" stop doing that, this i just temporary. You're going there to better yourself,you'll come back better than everyone who thought they were better than you"

She's right, I have to go there and study. When I come back I want to work at the nearest hospital so that everyone can see me everyday when I go to work driving my expensive car. *Sighs*

THEMBEKA.

Since Lethu left, I also should start packing my bags and go. Uncle Bheki sent me money to buy what I want,so I'll use it in the meantime until schools opens. When I reach there I also want to get a piece job because I doubt there's any cent I'm going to get from my parents. I haven't been obeying their rules these holidays.

I arrived home and they were waiting for me,mom and dad. Thembela was nowhere to be found, her older child was crawling and mom had the other one on her thighs. It must be nice being her, for sure when she comes back wherever she is,she'll be pregnant with the third one.

Mom :" I knew that you're coming back since that witch of a child is now gone"
Me :" I'm also going, I came here to pack my bags"
Mom :" Where do you think you're going?"
Me :" to school mom! Incase you forgot, I'm studying at University of Cape town"
Dad :" about that, you're not going back"
Me : [chuckles] "why?"
Him :" we have no money to pay for your fees"
Me :" Don't worry about that, I've planned something and uncle sent me money after he bought Lethu everything on his own,he also thought it would be nice giving me too"
Mom :" that on is probably sleeping with Lethu because I don't think someone would do all that for a bastard useless child like that"
Me :" Jeez woman! Just give Lethu a break, just once! Don't you think she deserves it? "
Mom :" she'll come back pregnant that one, I am telling you"
Me :" she's busy with her dreams, she will never get pregnant. Not until she finishes her degree"
Mom :" I'll be here waiting for that"
Me :" As I said, I am here to pack my bags then I'm going"
Dad :" Thembela found a job at Gauteng"
Me :" good for her" I laughed hysterically walking to my room
Him :" you will help us with taking care of the kids,when she gets paid she will send money home" 
I walked back, it's time I tell them what's on my mind. God forgive me because I can't believe what he just said right now. I walked to the kitchen and poured water on the glass, I gulped it down. I then went to where they were sitting.
Me :" with all due respect, I will say this to both of you. I am leaving for Cape town, I'm going there to finish my degree. I don't care about your precious child who got a job while she will come carring another baby. If I wanted to stay home and take care of babies, I'd have my own baby or babies.
As for you dad, I'm so disappointed in you,you treated your sister's only child as trash, you allowed mom to turn you into something I don't even know how to explain. No wonder nothing comes together for you, the deads are angry at you. Get your acts together and everything will fall in place. As for you mom, you're cruel" I said walking away.

THEMBELA.

Mom and dad thinks I found a job while I'm on a vacation with my blesser bae, we booked a room at the hotel. We're going to spend the whole weekend together and then he'll give me money, he lied to his wife and said he's going away for a business. I'll then go home and say I lost a job, atleast I'll be giving them money for staying with my babies. We just finished our steamy session. Maybe I should try this because to be honest no one will hire me and school, that is not my life. * Sighs*

When I woke up he wasn't next to me. I looked around me, there's a brown envelope on my side table. I took it and opened it, I've never seen such money in my life. He also left me a note " YOU WERE PEACEFUL SLEEPING, I DIDN'T WANT TO WAKE YOU. I HAD A GREAT WEEKEND,THANK YOU"
I smiled.
[ Door knocks]
I went to open
Her :" Mam you need to check out in few minutes"
Me :" okay"
To be honest I also don't want to be here, I want to see Thembeka when she sees all this money. My money, she's jealous of me I'm sure she'll even faint. I bathed and wore my clothes, I then left and went to the receptionist to check out.
