I sat around the long table which had family members at every corner. Everyone had jumpers knitted by the Grandmums. Thrown at them the second they came in. It was my mum who visited me, to come check up on me. We spent the time together, catching up. The door bell rang and with the grandparents starting to say "When I was younger.." I took it as the chance to get the door instead. I got to the door and opened it.
"Hello! Happy Thanksgiving!" I said cheerfully not noticing the person's face. Before they could even speak. I gave them a huge hug and smashed my lips into theirs. "Im sorry." we both said. I stared into Craig's eyes while his muscular arms were fixed on my waist. "Ermm. It's cold and I'm outside!" I heard the voice I was dreading. She pushed her way past and screamed "Gaby!" My mother gave her a big hug and they chatted.
The large turkey hit the table and everyone stared at it in awe. Uncle Jeff was about to snatch a piece when it was slapped away by his wife. "Boy! You better pray first." I heard the hearty chuckles from around the room and felt proud and happy to be here. We all began eating and so did the children on the kiddies table. "Im thirteen! Why am I sitting with 4 year olds!" Symonè, Aunt Mary's niece say. "I told you not to wear yellow creepers! You are twelve don't deceive yourself!" "Im thirteen in a week! Yellow creepers are the way to go"' she said back. "I had burgundy creepers!" I said while butting in the conversation. "See." Symonè said while pointing at me "and least she gets me!" "Well then you can stay with her for the weekend and have your sleepover there!" Before I could even object. Symonè exclaimed and clapped "Yay!" Well my weekend is now busy.
While everyone continued their different conversations. I spoke to Craig. "So why did you come back." I asked. "Well who doesn't want turkey?" he laughed while holding a leg. I playfully slapped the back of his head. "I'm kidding! I'm kidding but I know you missed all of this!" He said jokingly. He placed his hand on my thigh and rubbed it softly. "I obviously missed this but your presence is much better." I blushed at his comment and gave him a peck on his cheek. Though he was probably going to stay only for today I was going to make it worth while.
People were tugging on the collars of their jumpers because of the itching it gave but smiled at the grandmum when they saw. The teenager girls talking about the boy bands and wanting to get the latest album. The teenager boys talking about girls' asses. The mothers gossiping and the fathers complaining about it or talking about the football on the telly last night. The older people reminiscing about their past and sucking on their lemon sweets. I smiled to myself. This was way worth it.

I went to praise the Lord today! Up, up Jesus! Down, down Satan! Well, creepers on with thick socks. I'm comfortable. On the way to get some food shopping with my sister and Dad. Hair in a bun and cardigan :D!
