When my sister and I shared a room, I would sometimes feel like my bed was being lifted up, like something was trying to tip me out. I actually saw the floor at the foot of my bed one night while I was still lying down. I would start to slip down towards the foot of my bed and I'd have to fight it and grab my bedposts. It was terrifying.
I used to lie on my back all the time. Not after a while of that. For some reason, I never felt like I was being tipped out when I lay on my stomach. Now, I cannot sleep unless I'm on my stomach or my right side. (The side being because I had to face the closet, as explained in the last chapter.)
By the way, remember how I said I need to keep my back to a wall? Well, at night, I can now only sleep when I'm facing away from my door, so I have the whole "do I want to sleep tonight, or do I want to feel safe tonight?" I usually opt for sleep, but end up still being awake way to long. In fact, the only time I can guarantee I'll fall asleep quickly is if I go to bed right after watching a movie. The more action-packed the better. Narnia is good, but Hunger Games is better. I know it's completely backwards from what experts say, but it's how my body works. Just like how on New Year's Eve, my siblings and I get a little bit of Coke. When we were younger, it was just a swallow, but it always made me more tired after I drank it instead of more energized. I know logically the caffeine should have the opposite effect, but it doesn't. I've never really felt any effect from drinking a caffeinated beverage.
...
Sorry for the rabbit trail XD
I have a really bad habit of sharing a whole bunch of extraneous details that have no relevance to the story whatsoever. Sorry again
