third://person - [a week later]
Somehow, Heejin had managed to successfully convinced Hyunjin to go back home with. Just like everytime before, they sat side by side. Now all that was left was to wait for their stop.
"Hyunjin," Heejin said right after finishing a text argument with Jiwoo.
"What?" Hyunjin responded.
"We should stop whatever we're doing," Heejin said. "At least for now."
"Why?" Hyunjin asked.
"Because I'm literally cheating on her," Heejin said, as she reread the messages.
"...You know what you should do?" Hyunjin asked.
"Hyunjin, I swear to go if you say b-" Heejin began to say.
"I've said it for a whole week and I'll say it again, break up with her," Hyunjin interrupted. "I don't know why you have such a big issue with it."
"Stupid," Heejin said, flicking Hyunjin's head. "I can't do that to Jiwoo, especially not now. Besides, it's a hoe move."
"Stop being so 'Daddy Issues || 2jin' about this," Hyunjin mumbled.
"Huh? Daddy Issues? 2jin?" Heejin asked. "What the fuck is a 2jin?"
"...Long story, I don't have to time to explain it," Hyunjin said. "Look, I'm not forcing you to do anything, but at the same time, that's exactly what I'm doing."
Letting out a loud groan, Heejin repeatedly hit her head against Hyunjin's shoulder.
"I hate to be that person, but this is your fault," Heejin said.
"Mhm," Hyunjin sighed, patting the side of Heejin's head.
"God, you're not even worth it either," Heejin said, slipping her hand into Hyunjin's.
"I know right, you're really wasting your time," Hyunjin laughed.
"Shut up," Heejin said as she rested her head onto Hyunjin's shoulder.
-
Getting off their station, the two walked back to Heejin's house. The roads were empty, as always and barely anyone was walking on the streets.
"Did you even ask your mom if I could stay over?" Hyunjin asked.
"No, but I'm sure she'll let you," Heejin said.
"If she doesn't?" Hyunjin asked.
"Oh well," Heejin said. "To the streets then."
Further walking, they finally made it to the apartment. Heejin skipped up to the door, absolutely thrilled to see her mother again. Following behind and holding all the baggage was Hyunjin.
The whole ordeal of hugs lasted for about five minutes with Hyunjin awkwardly standing to the side. After everything was settled down, they were called for dinner.
Last time Hyunjin stayed for dinner, Heejin had left midway through and it was no different this time. Once again, it was just Hyunjin and Heejin's mom eating and talking again.
"It's good that you and Heejin are still friends," Heejin's mother asked.
Friends. One single word hit Hyunjin harder than it had ever.
"Mhm," Hyunjin responded.
-
Being that she was the only one to do the dishes back in the city, Hyunjin had gathered all the dishes and began washing them all out of habit.
"Hyunjin, you don't have to wash the dishes," Heejin's mom said. "It's late, you should go to sleep instead."
"No, it's fine," Hyunjin said. "Besides, it's the least I can do if I'm staying here."
Moments later, Hyunjin felt a pair of arms wrapped around her waist.
"What are you doing?" Heejin asked.
"The fuck does it look like I'm doing?" Hyunjin asked back.
"...I can't sleep," Heejin said.
"Cool," Hyunjin replied, her entire focus on making sure the dishes were spotless.
Running onto the couch, Heejin turned on the T.V in the pitch black living room. Joining a while later, Hyunjin laid her head onto Heejin's lap.
"We have time," Heejin said, seeing that one channel was playing all the Harry Potter movies that night.
"Sure," Hyunjin said as she got comfortable.
The two couldn't even make it past the first movie before falling asleep.
-
Waking up, Hyunjin turned off the T.V which had been on since the night prior, then checked her phone. It was five in the morning, and it was the day she dreaded the most out of the year.
Hyunjin grabbed her coat and nudged Heejin awake.
"It's too early," Heejin mumbled.
Bending to Heejin's level, Hyunjin grabbed Heejin by the shoulders and shook her up.
"Stop~" Heejin whined. "God, what do you want."
"C'mon, get up," Hyunjin said.
"Why?" Heejin asked as she rubbed her eyes.
"We're gonna do the dumbest thing we've ever done," Hyunjin said.
