"Are you okay?" Yerim asked.
Their final year at the University had just started, and Hyunjin was half asleep on her desk. Maybe it wasn't the best idea to get drunk the night before classes started, at least Hyunjin knew what not to do now.
"Yeah," Hyunjin lied, forcing her head up.
Her head felt like it was pounding and seconds away from ripping into two. Being that she only had a few minutes to rush to class, she couldn't take any painkillers.
Hyunjin rubbed her eyes in attempt to wake herself up. The second she opened them, her eyes focused onto Heejin who has just entered the room. Immediately, Hyunjin's mouth went agape seeing how someone could look that good this early in the morning.
"Close your mouth, you know she's taken," Yerim said, pointing at the person beside Heejin.
Redirecting her gaze, Hyunjin saw Jiwoo walking right beside Heejin. She watched as she followed Heejin and sat right next to her. It brought Hyunjin out of her fantasies.
"Right," Hyunjin whispered, looking back down at her desk.
No matter how hard she tried, Hyunjin couldn't take her eyes off Heejin. She regretted not taking the chance when she still had it, she regretted being to afraid to do so.
A few hours later, Hyunjin trudged over time to the library where she was suppose to work the rest of the afternoon.
Opening the door revealed the rows of books. All of which stacking high and low. The library had sat untouched since last semester. Only a few students were in there, one of them being Haseul.
Haseul worked at the library every year she'd been a student, Hyunjin had just failed to notice her presence of existence for that matter. It was only when she started working that she met Haseul.
In the short amount of time the two have known eachother, they've become close. Haseul acted as the mother figure Hyunjin no longer had. From crying at night to simply complaining about her hardships, Haseul had always been there to comfort Hyunjin.
Further walking reveled a pink hair girl sitting on the counter next to Haseul, chewing bumble gum. (A/N: let's pretend Vivi still has pink hair bc I miss it)
"Haseul, Vivi," Hyunjin greeted, as she tossed her bag over the counter.
"You're early, that's a first," Haseul said as she turned on the computers. "Go on, you know what to do."
Grabbing a book cart Hyunjin started down each aisle, putting all books back in the shelves. It was a time consuming job that made terribly, but someone had to do it.
As the afternoon approached, more people started piling into the library for what one could only assume was studying. That also meant Hyunjin's shift was over.
"See you later," Hyunjin said, grabbing her bag from behind the counter.
"Uh-huh," Haseul said.
Hyunjin made her way to the small coffee shop tucked in the corner of campus. She very much disliked coffee since it reminded her a lot of Heejin, but she needed something to get her through the rest of her night.
"The usual," Hyunjin said as she fumbled around for her credit card out.
"That is?" A deep voice asked.
