"This is all just a bad dream, right?" Sooyoung asked. "Everything's gonna be back to normal again when I wake up."

Moving on had always been exceptionally difficult for everyone, Sooyoung in particular. Jiwoo was one of her only pillars of support and without her, she'd simply crumble to the ground.

As the time passed, the tears stopped. Solely because she physically couldn't produce anymore tears. The liquid in her body had run dry, leaving behind a numb Sooyoung.

"I'm tired," Sooyoung said as she laid onto Jiwoo's lap. "I-I wanna see you right next to me when I wake up. A-Alright?"

No reply. The room was silent once more.

Jiwoo stayed and waited until she knew for sure that Sooyoung was completely asleep. Taking off their once shared burgundy hoodie, Jiwoo folded it into a pillow. Slowly, she placed Sooyoung's head on the make shift pillow and off her lap.

Gathering her stuff, Jiwoo quietly got up and began walking out the room. The second her hands touched the doorknob, she was stopped.

"If you leave right now, I don't want to see your face or hear your voice again," Sooyoung said.

"You're really something else," Jiwoo mumbled as she opened the door. "See you in class or something."

"Don't you think what your doing's a little much?" Hyunjin asked, squatting infront of the raging fire.

"No," Sooyoung said. "There's no point in keeping them anymore."

Hyunjin watched in horror as Sooyoung tossed every letter and every little item she'd ever receive from Jiwoo into the flame. What scared her even more was how calm Sooyoung seemed throughout the whole ordeal.

"That's insane, imagine how she would feel seeing you do this," Jungeun said from the kitchen.

"I don't care," Sooyoung said, tossing the box of letters into the flame.

Once all the papers were burnt up, Sooyoung stood up and watched the crackling fire. Everything the two had ever worked for, all the time spent together, it was all down the drain.

Looking down at her hand, Sooyoung took off her ring. It was a promise ring, a ring Jiwoo had saved up for way back when she got her first part time job. Sooyoung smiled as she remembered the joy on Jiwoo's face when she presented the ring. But it didn't matter anymore, everything was over.

"That's an expensive ass ring," Hyunjin said.

"I don't think she still has hers," Sooyoung said. "Does she?"

"Hmm?" Heejin said, seeing that Sooyoung was looking at her. "I've never see her wear one, but then again I don't really pay attention."

Sooyoung sighed a deep sigh and looked at the glistening ring, then back at the fire. Even after all this time, she was still hurting.

"C'mon, the letters were enough," Hyunjin said, slapping Sooyoung's leg.

Not listening, she tossed the ring into the fire. It was finally gone, they were finally gone.

"Hyunjin, I'm gonna go back home," Sooyoung said, hugging her knees. "I have enough credits to graduate early."

"Don't be like that," Hyunjin said. "Busan's really far, how are you gonna cook dinner for us every night?"
