‘Eugh,’ Amelia groaned as she stirred. She was led in the middle of a double bed as she raised her head from the pillows.
‘What the..?’ she muttered as she took in her surroundings. The room was brightly lit, with sunlight pouring in through full length French doors that open out onto a private balcony. The double bed was in the centre of the room, with the French doors on Amelia’s right. To her left was a wall of mirrors covering what she could only assume to be lots of wardrobes. In front of her was a single door in the middle of the wall.
As she began to try to get out of the bed, the door opened and a guy walked in. he smiled when he saw that she was awake.
‘Amelia honey, you're up at last!’ he walked towards the bed with his arms open. He grabbed her hand and pulled her from the bed and into his arms, where she stood stiffly.
After a few minutes he pulled back.
‘Get dressed love, we’ve got a busy day today! We should make three sales,’ and with that he turned to go.
‘W-Wait,’ Amelia called when she found her voice. The guy stopped and turned to look at her. ‘Who are you?’ she asked with a frown.
‘Amelia honey, it’s me! Your fiancé, Daniel…’ he trailed off looking upset.
‘I-I don’t r-remember…’ Amelia stuttered as she turned towards the wardrobes.
‘How?’ Amelia gasped in shock as she caught sight of her reflection.
‘What now!’ Daniel asked from the doorway. He stood there frowning at her, as Amelia realised that he was quite handsome, but the way he stood then was making him seem extremely cruel.
‘Don’t worry baby!’ she said with a smile as she tuned back to the wardrobe. ‘I’ll be down in a minute’ and with that he left, and Amelia was left thanking her mum for making her take an acting course during the summer holidays.
‘Hmmm,’ Amelia mumbled aloud as she faced the wall of mirrors.
‘How do I…?’ She encouraged herself as she paced up and down, pondering how she opened the elusive wardrobe.
Amelia walked towards the first mirror and hooked her fingers around he frame. She tried to slide the mirror across, but it wouldn’t move. She tried the other end panel, and all the panels in between, but none would move. In frustration Amelia placed her hands over her reflected face and went to lean her head against the mirror, but it was no longer there.
Amelia stepped back in shock, trying to think of a way that could have happened, when Daniel yelled up the stairs.
‘Hurry up honey, we’re going to be late!’ and he sounded quite angry.
