She's mine so just back off

She followed Liam and Daniel up the path and through the door, still lost in the beauty.

As Daniel took them on a tour Amelia fell more and more in love with the house, so much that she had barely realised she was standing in the master bedroom whilst Daniel and Liam had moved onto another room.

She stood facing the wardrobe mounted mirror, only just seeing what had been in front of her eyes for nearly a day.

She’d aged, and a lot.

She no longer looked upon her skinny 14 year old self, but a distinguished, beautiful 24 year old woman. Her figure had gone from skinny and shapeless to a full hourglass and she was considerably taller.

Her previously shoulder length dark blonde hair was now a light brown with even lighter streaks that reached her waist. Amelia turned from side to side to get a better look at the new her.

When she was 14 (what she thought was only yesterday) she would have never considered wearing an A-line dress or having her hair like this. But most of all she would never have believed that she could look like this.

To put it simply: She was hot.

She grinned at her reflection before moving to find Daniel and Liam.

Whilst she had been admiring her reflection Daniel had finished the tour and they were ready to leave. Amelia joined the men as they were leaving the hall, just in time to hear Daniel hiss at Liam: ‘She’s mine so just back off,’ before he smiled directly at her.

Amelia frowned at this. Why would Daniel feel the need to talk to a client like that, and from the look they both shot her way she had a feeling it was about her.

They clambered back into the Aston Martin in silence, neither looking at each other.

Daniel drove recklessly all the way to a fancy hotel, to Amelia’s surprise.

He parked the car before running around to Amelia’s side to help her out.

‘What’s this?’ She asked in confusion as he tucked her hand under his arm and led her up the front steps.

‘Dinner for my girl,’ He said with a side-long smile in her direction.

‘We could go to Nandos, Dan. You don’t have to take me here,’ she whispered, slowing down on the steps.

‘No, I want to treat you,’ He replied stubbornly.

‘I’m not dressed for it,’ Amelia whined as a last resort.

Daniel stopped just outside the door and Amelia thought she’d won. Then he knelt on one knee.

‘I was going to give this to you as a wedding present but now will do just as well,’

She watched with wide eyes as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a Tiffany’s box.

He held it out in front of him and Amelia turned bright red (by this point people were stopping to watch, thinking he was proposing to her). He opened it to reveal a diamond bracelet; each diamond was surrounded by 5 opals.

‘I…Oh…wow,’ was all Amelia could manage to say as he lifted it from the box and gently fastened it around her left wrist.

‘Now you're perfectly dressed to dine here, beautiful,’ He whispered in her ear.

Just as they were about to enter the restaurant Amelia turned back to the people who had stopped to watch and said: ‘We’re already engaged!’ with a huge smile before she flicked her hair over her shoulder and followed Daniel into the restaurant.
