"zach? what are you doing here?" cypris asked as he trudged through the door. he set his bags down without answering her and raced up to his room. cypris was over at the why don't we house hanging out with his bandmates.

"you should go talk to him." corbyn advised. she nodded and followed zach's path up the stairs. she paused at his door, and heard small whimpers coming from inside.

"zach?" cypris knocked, and after there was no answer, she let herself in. "get up." she commanded. zach didn't get up, so she grabbed his pillow and whacked him five times, six for good measure.

"hey!" zach pouted, finally rolling over and sitting up. "what was that for?"

"you wouldn't listen to me, so i had to use force. simple." cypris shrugged and set the fluffy weapon back down. "so? what happened?"

"we were about to eat cake, and then her mom got a phone call." he sighed, taking a little pause. "it was her dad, he wanted to talk to her. i already told you how he abused her and stuff right?" cypris nodded and zach continued. "well, then she had a panic attack, and i helped her down stairs, and put her on the bed. i hugged her and then she pushed me away, and then i tried again and she did it again. i didn't know what to do, so i-i just left." tears streamed down the boy's face as cypris shook her head.

"oh boy." she sighed, continuing to shake it.

"what?" zach asked, wiping a water droplet away.

"you're not supposed to hug people when they're having panic attacks dummy." she laughed lightly.

"what? then what are you supposed to do?" the boy asked, tilting his head.

"instruct them in breathing, stuff like that." cypris shrugged. "hugging the person just makes them feel more enclosed and out of control."

"oh. wait how do you know this?" zach frowned and looked up at the girl.

"zach. i've gone through my fair share of panic attacks, and then some." she explained. zach's mouth formed an 'o' shaped, and he ducked his head.

"why didn't you tell me? i could've helped you."

"they didn't happen that often, and i knew how to calm myself so it didn't matter. but that's not the point. how are you going to apologize?" cypris asked zach.

"umm, well i could buy her flowers, and drive there. but that could take forever."

"that's a good idea." cypris nodded and started to leave the room. "if she makes you happy then it's worth it, zach." she stated with a reassuring smile, and left the room.

zach shook his head, trying to get rid of negative thoughts or feelings. he took a deep breath, and headed down the stairs. the boy grabbed his bag and started securing his shoes on his feet.

"hey, where are you going?" corbyn asked, with a mouthful of cheetos.

"to get my girl back."
