Brett couldn't believe it. Sure he knew his love of classical music was shared by many and by his best friend but,

"I love it so much!" She said, "Learning and practicing. I even got a job so I can pay for lessons."

Brett made a small face at that.

"My parents offered to pay but I want to do it myself. It feels more valued and I'm more motivated to practice."

Eddy and him knew the importance of lessons and good teachers and getting your moneys worth.

"But I can't believe you're okay with playing my instrument."

"It's for Eddy." Brett said, "And we are so grateful you have one for him to play. So thank you once again."

The girl popped open the trunk of her dads car.

Brett eyed the case with suspicion but quickly changed it to one of gratititude as the girl gave it to him.

This could go one of two ways. Eddy would love it or Eddy would hate it.

She closed the trunk and headed back the main entrance. "I'm going back to my seat. See you at the end if the show."

Brett took a breathe and tried his best to think of a plan.

Eddy was going to hate this.

...

"I thought he said his daughter played violin." Eddy said, opening the case.

It was a viola. Well taken care of but still a viola.

"He did," Brett said, "Eddy, his daughter was very sweet and considerate. She even pays for her own lessons."

"I know our fans are the best." Eddy quickly dismissed, shaking his head, "I would play it Brett but I don't have anything prepared for a viola and its not like we can just change the tuning on it."

"Eddy we have to do something. Or else you're just hola-hooping. And that's not as impressive as hola-hooping and playing at the same time."

Eddy warily took out the bow.

"Girl needs a new bow."

Eddy wasn't being rude. The horse hair was an absolute mess. So he just pulled out his old bow. It had managed to survive.
