4 years later...

*Selena's POV*

I quickly wrap a thin cloth around my knuckles on both my hands.

I threw a punch at the punching bag as I let out a low groan.

*Flashback*

"Stop!" I pleaded as tears coursed down my cheek, "Please just stop!"

Suddenly, the door slams open, revealing Lucy in her red floral.

"Sel?" Lucy calls out gently. She looks around worried as her hands are clamped tightly together.

Once her gaze turns to the steel table where I am currently strapped in, our eyes meet.

"Ooh Lucy," the tall man smirks, "Say goodbye to your memories."

He grabs Lucy's shoulder and injects her with the shot I was supposed to be injected with.

No.

That shot was a permanent amnesia shot.

There's no way she'd be able to remember anything. She'll lose every single memory she had such as her friends, our family, and most importantly, she won't remember me.

Lucy collaspes to the ground, her eyelids fluttering close.

The tall man snickers as he walks towards the right counter.

He pulls open a drawer and takes out another shot.

"Don't worry, sweetie," he grins, "This shot is much different."

He pushes the side of my cheek so he can inject it into my neck.

"This shot is the cure to my new experiment. It has to be combined with blood just to work and since you've got you're dad's blood, why not use this on you?" He explains.

I felt the liquid from the shot shoot inside of me.

As I felt it spread, I scream in agony.

All I could feel was pain.

All I could do was scream.

The tall man grabs a knife from the same counter he got the shot from and quickly headed towards me.

"But of course, you'll have to die since I only need your blood," he chuckles, "Don't worry too much though. This will only sting a lot."

Before he could stab me, I grab his hand, breaking the straps from the table.

"How the hell did you do that?" he questioned", confused.

I had no idea but, I felt as if I've lost me.

I twist his hand forcing the knife to fall to the ground.

I brang my knee up to kick his groint and pushed him away.

I flopped down from the table to grab the knife that fell to the ground and held it side ways to defend myself.

"Stay away," I glared.

He put his hands out in the defense but I still didn't trust him. I eyed him suspiciously as I made my way to Lucy, checking her pluse.

She was still alive, thankfully.

I picked her up, bridal style and hurried out the door.

"Where do you think you're going?" someone says from behind me.

As I turn around to check, I noticed it was the same tall man who injected us with shots.

But instead of holding shots, he held a gun.

I slowly lay Lucy on the floor.

"Don't do this," I say sternly.

He laughs, "Why when I'll be enjoying this?"

He pulled the trigger but I somehow dodged it and threw my knife at him.

It stabbed him directly into his chest but as he slumps to the floor, he smirks.

"I'll find you again, Selly and when I do, you'll regret this."

*Flashback ended*

I stumbled towards the counter, grabbing my water bottle. I unscrewed the cap and rushed all the water towards my mouth, taking big gulps. Anxiously I paced back and forth, my steps absorbing the silent air.

I remember that day as clear as heaven would remember hell. People would define it as a nightmare, but it wasn't fake. Everything that happened in their headquarters actually happened. That's what kills me the most. I can't just pinch myself and except me to lie awake on my bed.

This is reality.

Right before that man strapped me to the steel table, I found my dad.

Except he wasn't human anymore. He had rotten flesh and yellow pierced eyes mixed with red throbbing veins. People would think I would not know who he was just by the sight of him.

But anyone who thought that are wrong. I knew it was my dad based on his fluffy hair that sat atop of his head. The fluffly hair that my mother grew to love. He still had the same eyes I knew but they no longer held the gentle love he is known for. Instead, he was desparate. Desparate to rip apart my skin and eat my flesh.

That's when I knew I no longer had my father.

I wouldn't believe it though. I tired to talk him out of it. I told him he was my father. But, he didn't listen. He tried to grab me as he made uttering sounds with his voice. It pained me to know he was gone.

That's when the man came in. He decided to shoot my father in the head, forcing me to watch him slump to the floor.

Dead.

That man immediately grabbed me and that's when it all started.

Suddenly, my phone buzzed on the front counter. I briskly reach for it as I bring it close to my ear.

"Hello," I greet formally, wiping the excess water from my hands to my shirt.

"They're after her," the familiar irish voice informed.

Three words.

Three simple words was all it took for me to understand what the voice was talking about.

I threw my phone towards the wall as I muttered profanities under my breath.

They found out 1 year early.

I have to hurry and find her before they do.
