Chapter 5 - Reunited

Selena's POV

Zayn's eyes focused on the road ahead of us. His hands clutched the stearing wheel making his knuckles turn white. Niall was seated next to him with clenched teeth. I sat between Harry and Ashley where I was squeezed against their shoulders. Alongside Ashley was Vanessa and besides Harry was Lucy.

Everyone was tensed as emotions flooded their features. Everyone except Harry. His face was still expressionless.

Suddenly, the car starts to speed up.

"Something is wrong," Zayn notified, "I think the hunters hijacked the car when we were in school."

"Shit," I cursed, "If that's true, then they must of placed a bomb in here!"

Vanessa opened the door on her side and directed that we should jump out. We all agreed as Vanessa went first. Zayn and Niall jumped at the same time once Vanessa jumped. Lucy decided to open her door and make Harry hold onto her as they both jumped out. Ashley and I copied they're actions and followed out.

We rolled to the side of the road, grasping each other so we wouldn't separate.

Immediately, the car exploded letting parts fly all over the place.

I pushed myself up and helped Ashley while I was at it. We made our way towards the middle of the road where everyone else is.

Lucy/Caroline's POV

"Stupid car," I murmur.

"Caroline, it's alright" Ashley consoles as she gently puts her hand on my shoulder but I wiggle away from her grasp.

"No it isn't. I bought this car yesterday! It's supposed to work perfectly fine!" I groan, earning a frown from Ashley.

"How are we going to get out here? We can't just walk. It'll be too dangerous," Vanessa stated.

Just as Vanessa said that last sentence, a shiny black car pulls over.

An odd man comes out wearing an unreadable face.

He wore sunglasses over his eyes. He dressed in a white shirt under a black leather jacket, gray harlem sweatpants and black vans. Selena steps forward, giving this man a threatening look.

"Who are you?" Selena interrogated as she inspects him.

"Who are you?" he mimicked as he ran his hand through his chesnut hair.

"You didn't answer my question," Selena hissed.

"Neitheir did you," he retorts.

"Look," she points, "I don't have any time to fuck around. Just answer the damn question."

"Answer mine first," he said, un-afraid of her treat.

She scoffs as she advances towards him, activating her hidden blade from her right arm. She was planning to stab it through his stomach, but he blocks it by stepping back and kicking her hand away from him.

"Wait," Niall demands, "Alec, it's Selena!"

The man leered at him and then at her. He pulls off his sunglasses making his light brown eyes glisten.

"Selena?!" Alec exclaims as Selena stands up straight.

"Nice moves," She smirks.

Alec glares at Selena, "Next time act with maturity and don't leave the house without my permission!" Alec yelled, "Anyways, this isn't the time to talk about this in the middle of no where! Get in the car!"

She rolled her eyes and sticked her tongue at him.

"Is it always like this?" I say, grabbing everyones attention, "You both should stop fighting. Alec, at least she's okay. Selena, listen to your brother. You both are siblings. Be glad you have each other!"

Selena and Alec both looked at each other with sadness in their eyes.

"Is that her?" Alec questioned. Selena nods once before she disappears into his car.

Alec bit his lip as he motioned us to get inside. We all followed.

Alec's POV

Lucy. She looks just like our mother. She had the same dusky sienna eyes and still the same attitude. She used to stop Selena's and my arguements like that.

"Start up," I direct when I pushed away my thoughts.

Immediately, the whole car turns dark, only a royal blue light appearing on the bottom side of the doors.

"Katherine," I call out, "Pin point base."

A light blue screen appears on the windshield showing the map of the whole wide world. It closens up to where we are and uses a red dot to pin point the base.

"Completed," Katherine responds.

"Drive us there," I instruct while pressing the black button under the steering wheel.

The car begins the move smoothly, bringing light back into the car.

Selena's POV

"Shit," Ashley scowled, "Who was that?!"

"Um, that was Katherine. She's the monitor of this car and-"

"Wait, you mean, she's like Siri?" she interrupts as her eyes glimmer with curiosity.

"Kind of. Katherine is much smarter and takes control of much more things than "Siri" ever has." I explain.

"Yes but Siri has a shorter name," Ashley retorts, defending Siri.

"So?' I shrug, "Katherine's nickname is Katt."

She stays silent.

"So how old are you?" Lucy asks, breaking the silence.

I swallow, "Seventeen."

I'm only two years younger than her.

"Oh, I'm older," Lucy huffs.

She won't remember me.

It's not her fault though.

She was forced to.

Ashley and Vanessa both inspect my actions.

I know they know.

But I don't dare to look back because I know I'll break.

And I haven't cried since the accident.
Ever since that day, I swore to myself I never will.

I will always stay strong.

Because I'm a different Selena.

I've changed completely.
