Moving to another place was extremely tiring, Fu Cheng who was able to relax for a few days had to finalize the moving process as well as the contract in the annual rent for the years he'll be in university.
Currently, at 17, he would already be 24 once graduating. His plans were to finish all course requirements for his first year in the first semester, naturally, with his backing it was possible. This was also to ensure that the original Yuuki would be able to relax in the future only worrying about his little café business.
(A/N: this is not realistic tbf or maybe it is but idk, but I'll gladly use the excuse of this book using a fantasy plot to battle any questions ╮(╯▽╰)╭)Unfortunately for him, he had to start a week before the school year starts. Thankfully he wasn't alone, successors and other students were rushing to get their degrees to inherit or start their own businesses and jobs.
V University is the top school in the country and 5th worldwide, the school fees were high. Only the wealthy and intelligent can enter the grounds, those who don't meet the qualifications would be thrown out.
The school system was harsh, because of this, group projects were never graded individually and most of them involved the whole class. The students who were grabbing an opportunity to graduate early were even more cumbersome.
V University's students were 90% made of talented young individuals, the other 10% were just slightly above average( by V Uni's standards). Even then, that 10% were still more intelligent than 50% of the population's youngsters( ̄▽ ̄)
In that 90%, 40% of them were ruthlessly battling for early graduation benefits!
Connections in several branches of society, access to V University's archives that hold almost all written information since the Tang Dynasty, and a plaque of appreciation from V countries president! Of course, there's more but those connections are better to be kept under the wraps, shady activity shouldn't be exposed.Being able to graduate from V Uni. ensures success for a whole lifetime, but plenty also dropped out due to the ruthlessness of fellow students. Our little protagonist on the other hand doesn't really care about those, he was only thinking about being able to use this world to move around and do things he couldn't in his last life.
The goal was to graduate in 5 years! Cramming, exhaustion, and illnesses flooded the bleak-looking future but who would Fu Cheng be if he couldn't deal with those?
A few blocks from V Uni. was the residence Fu Cheng would be staying in, several students also lived here for convenience. After all, V Uni. owned the building ╮( ̄▽ ̄")╭
Modern architecture with beautiful arcs, the buildings created an 'H'. At the very top was a garden enclosed in a reflective dome allowing those inside to see the view but covering their identities from the outside.
The left-wing had a mini-mart and pharmacy while the right-wing accommodated a few boutiques and some restaurants. These facilities took up the ground floor of the building while the rest were rooms and some floors would be for the use of students.
Equipped with a gym and other facilities, Hikari Residence naturally focused on the wellbeing of esteemed guests and big money makers visiting and staying in the country.
Fu Cheng had a room booked on the upper floors showing his status and wealth. With creme and wooden interior, his living space for his 5 years in Uni wouldn't be exhausting.
As soon as you enter the doors, the center was a lounge for people that was brought down to isolate the small area.
Parallel to the entrance was floor to ceiling windows showing the view of the city and skyline.
On the right was a staircase leading to the second floor which contained guest rooms and below the second floor is the kitchen and dining area.
The left is obscured by a wall of paintings and tv for guests to pass time. A hidden wall leads to a corridor that gives access to the master bedroom, a study, personal bathroom, and minibar. (A/N: it's like one of those doors where you can flip, big paintings are used to disguise them as part of the wall. It's different in each room.)
Fu Cheng had about 3 days of rest before he was going to start, fortunately, the only things he had to unpack were a few clothes and his everyday necessities, his other stuff would be sent in another day. After tidying up, he left his living space and drove to campus in a low-key BMW with his family's chauffeur.
Just before leaving through the exit gates, they were given a gate pass that stated his residence in Hikari; this was to ensure the safety and privacy of all guests.
The streets were clean and lined up with plum blossoms that would bloom during spring creating a mystical image straight out of a painting. Buildings were aesthetically designed and cars were disciplined. The streets were clean and people were dressed in different fashions, the streets of this city were truly filled with eye candy for those looking for inspiration.
Entering campus grounds was akin to passing through another dimension. While the highway was littered with warm and earth tones, dark shades and reserved designs were what greeted them. The University itself was surrounded by greenery and landscapes, there were a few people here and there but not to the point of being deserted and not overly populated.
On school days, depending on your courses and departments, students were asked to wear an ID strap for their designated branch to sort out the people. There were assigned days where students could express their fashion and selected days where they were dressed in formal attire in white shades with slacks or modest skirts.
The entry gates were occupied by 5 guards and a supervisor around the clock. Reaching out to the card given to him beforehand, Fu Cheng ran it through the scanner and they were allowed inside.
Fu Cheng was then dropped off at the doors of the campus loft to get his timetable and other requirements for the year.
He approached the front desk with a gait not too fast nor slow. Exuding confidence and elegance, he attracted quite a few stares from the people around them. The person behind the front desk bobbed their head in approval at the young man's temperament and his hidden confidence.
They began, "Good Afternoon Sir. What are you here for today?" There were multiple binders stacked behind the table and some documents placed in a neat file by their side."I'm here to receive my documents for my application as a student." Fu Cheng's eyes roved around the persons face trying to read their expression that was deep in thought.
"Please wait a moment." The busybody pulled out a folder from below the desk and a medium-sized booklet that would brief the students about the rules and a map to explore the campus.
"Can I have your ID card, sir?" Fu Cheng handed it over and it was swiped with a small scanner that placed his information on the computer screen.
"Student Yuuki Yamamoto, your books and other class requirements will be ready for pick up 3 hours from now at 17:00. Feel free to stay on campus! During your stay here, you are encouraged to explore through campus grounds while observing proper decorum towards the people present right now. The booklet has a detailed map of the facilities, buildings, and student courses. Feel free to approach the front desk if you have any questions." They handed back his student ID and Fu Cheng offered a polite bow before exiting out of the loft eager to explore his new surroundings.
