He was immensely conflicted at the third wish, why would the host want to befriend a woman who indirectly caused his death? Not being able to understand the way the previous Yuuki thought, he focused on what was happening.

'System, will I regain the memories of this body?'

[Replying to the agent, memories will be unlocked once you have met the trigger, which usually happens on the first day of your transmigration to the new world. You have 2 weeks before moving into your own residence near the university you'll attend]

Fu Cheng, now known as Yuuki Yamamoto, hesitated at the current events. He wasn't ready to face his new life in such a rushed manner. During his 20's he had always been silent and antisocial however, after getting shot he had stopped living just for the purpose of being alive. He realized that that was it, he never believed in the afterlife but this proved to be wrong.
Never in his life would he imagine the overwhelming love and joy he experienced by the end of his 35 years.

Was he really ready to let go of everything he's lived through and devoted his entire being for?

Fu Cheng felt lost, thrown into a world of people you don't recognize. Before there were direct checkpoints where he could go to and a clear end with a finish line banner. With his identity as the Yuuki Yamamoto of this life, nothing was clear.

He was constantly constrained like a bird with clipped wings, a prisoner with shackles, a cloud that was stagnant. Yuuki lived because of his parents. He wasn't Fu Cheng who had a clear goal of what he wanted. Yuuki only wanted freedom. He wanted to understand and have friends. (A/N: KHR reference for my baby Hibari <3)

Hour after hour had passed. His eyes beady and hazy, staring at the rising sun from his window as it made large shadows inside the room he was in. Trying to chase his sleep, he closed his eyes and welcomed the darkness that gave his mind rest after organizing his predicament.

At 05:30, he woke up, 30 minutes of peace and quiet for his brain. In contrast to the flood of raw anxiety and grief, he opened his eyes with a small spark of acceptance. It was hard embracing a new identity but he was getting somewhere.

His eyes wandered to the only door in this room, just as he was about to push himself off the comforts of his bed, a knock penetrated the atmosphere. Fu Chang silently made his way to the door and opened it to be greeted with a surprised face from the intruder.

Ken Yamamoto, fluffed brown hair and a pair of expressive eyes. With such a warm temperament, it won't be a surprise if you get dragged in. For the most part, he's a prime example of someone that separates personal life and work. Years from now, while in court he would stand with an intimidating figure that oozed elegance and serenity while ruthlessly attacking their enemy. But for now, he was still wet behind the ears, only after facing hardships can you truly experience the sweetness of victory!

With nervous laughter, Ken began his version of an excuse to waking him up.

"Yuuki! I thought you'd still be asleep until 7, what are you doing awake at this time?". Ken's character was unbearably easy to read, he had all his emotions on his face, if not his face then his eyes. Truly makes one wonder where the imposing figure in the future comes from.....

Ken who was insulted despite not doing anything, "........."

Just before he could reply, his brain was assaulted by a wave of memories that seemed to attack wash over him with the main purpose of being drowned. He fell towards the hands that clumsily held him up. In a daze, he looked at the blurry figure that called out his name in worry.

A migraine had entered his head and it hurt! Yuuki inhaled a sharp breath before pushing the teen out and stumbling towards the chair at his desk. Right before blacking out, he heard a faint beeping sound.

At exactly 07:00 in the morning, Yuuki opened his eyes to the light escaping the blinds. Letting out a strained hiss, he rubbed his eyes and made his way to the room beside his study. The Yamamoto's have been well known throughout the country for generations so it wasn't weird for them to live in a pricy mansion hidden from the eyes of the rest.

His bedroom was simple, a large bed with the headboard up against the wall on the left with a balcony looking out to the lake by the side of the mansion. The walls were painted in a dirty white with a floor covered in grey carpet. The curtains were grey, letting some natural light pass through. There was also his own bathroom and closet on the right side, an assortment of button-up shirts and slacks.

Here in the room, there was his own computer and tv where the viewer can cozily lay on the bed to watch an action film.

The trigger for his memories was Ken, the most important person in Yuuki's life. In disdain, Yuuki grumbled, 'You could have at least warned me if the memories are triggered.'

[Apologies, I will make sure to inform you next time.]

Sighing in resignation he could only look at the place he was currently in and got ready for the day. Dragging himself into the bathroom he finally had a proper look at himself.

In his previous world, Fu Cheng had bleached his hair to a pale strawberry blond which his siblings had proposed to commemorate his 20th birthday. This time, Yuuki sported the typical black hair males have. It ended just underneath his chin, slightly wavy but easy to style. Currently, his hair was tied in a loose bun behind him with a middle part that framed his masculine features.

His eyes were beautiful ember in color, lips were soft, and skin poreless. His stature was normal for his budding age of 17, faint muscles were present on his body, slim yet built. The younger sibling was reserved much similar to his previous self however, he never spoke up thus causing him to follow everything his family told him with no objection. (A/N: what I meant to say by "poreless" was how his pores weren't visible, I'm jealous.)

This was something he needed to change, having connections were important after all, what better way to do this than through the excuse of university? First, he needed to focus on his career as an oncologist then slowly fade out to have his own café.
