"you reminded me"

"Wait...so...I press this?" Hawks asked pointing to one small button on the wire. Endeavor nodded "yes that to start recording" Hawks stared at the whole thing then said "okay I think I got it but just in case say it again I wasn't listening" Endeavor groaned and started explaining things again after 2 more times it was stuck in Hawks head. He gave a thumbs up "okay I got it now" Endeavor turned away "finally for the number 2 hero your quite stupid" Hawks gave his most shocked expression "hOw dArE yOu" Endeavor rolled his eyes. "the portal should appear in three, two, one" without a sound a black and purple portal appeared. Hawks stared at it. "here I go"

He stepped into the portal and was instantly freezing cold and burning hot at the same time. It was horrible. He was thrown out of balance for that less than a second so when his foot landed on the other side his body was numb and he kept moving, he fell and hit the floor and flapped around on it for a few seconds until the feel in his body came back.

"behold the number two hero in all of his glory" said a raspy voice. Hawks looked up. He pushed himself to his feet and found the vice that had spoken Tomura Shigaraki. "it's not my fault going through that portal is hell" he said. "Yeah he's right! No he's no! its hell" Twice stated. Himiko Toga smiled "It's really painful going through the first time Hawks do you bleed a lot? I want to know you would be really cute dead" she said this calmly so Hawks inched away from her. "Toga you can't threaten to kill people all the time" Kurogiri said. She frowned "why not?" she said whiningly "most people don't like being threatened, idiot" Hawks turned the familiarity in the voice scared him but he couldn't place where he heard the voice from.... That was Dabi why did he sound so familiar? Nevermind that.

Hawks waved. "hello fellow villains!" he said and exaggerated a bow. Toga grinned insanely "so cool! can I stab you pleaaaaase???" she asked again. Hawks glanced at her then looked at Tomura "uh...is she serious?" Shigaraki stared at him from between the fingers of the hand on his face. "yeah" Hawks eyes widened. "seriously?" he asked again. The entire League noded or muttered a yes. "and don't freak out if she presses a knife against your throat, you'll die" Dabi said simply. Hawks nodded solemnly. "got it, move, I die"

"alright," Shigaraki sighed "lets get down to business" All the villains turned and stared at Shigaraki like they had not seen that coming. "Tomura Shigaraki you were serious?!" Kurogiri said shocked. "sounds interesting! What were we talking about?" Twice said. "ooh business" Toga said excitedly. "bUsInEsS? Uh, whats that mean?" Hawks said slightly confused. Shigaraki looked at Hawks "it means, we decide to kill you or let you join" Hawks stared at Shigaraki. "I thought you said I could join" Dabi gave him a look that read how stupid do you think we are? "why would we when you haven't proven yourself, do you think we would just let the number 2 her waltz in here without making sure they weren't spying on us to??" Hawks shifted uncomfortably. "uh you know now that you say it that would be stupid" he muttered.

He knew someone else who would have said something like that...who? "Okay Hawks what do you have that will...improve the team and if you answer this right you get to join" Hawks was stunned. There was a right answer??? "uh...I have no fucking idea" Shigaraki looked at Kurogiri "give my the confetti" Kurogiri reached under the bar side and handed Shigaraki a bowl with confetti. "ah shit..." he muttered. "I can't..." He blew on the confetti and it billowed out of the bowl "yes, somebody clean that up?" Dabi blasted fire at it and burned it to ash. "thanks a lot diphit" Shigaraki muttered unhappily. Dabi smiled sourerly "your welcome"

"uh...so did I pass??" Hawks said. "I think so?" Toga said in a questioning tone. "okay then..." He muttered. "so I'll have Dabi do this watch you allllll the time," Shigaraki paused to glare at Dabi "got it asshole all. The. Time." Dabi mouthed his words mockingly. "whatever"

"so you're supotsu watch me alllllll the time" Hawks asked. Dabi shrugged "I don't know, I think so" again the way Dabi talked reminded Hawks of someone but he couldn't put his finger on who. "hey do you have a secret name or something?" Hawks said then scolded himself that was a stupid question"

Dabi glanced at him then looked away quickly, like something about Hawks bothered him. "a secret name...wow how old are you again?" Hawks glared "nevermind" They walked down the street a few more minutes, with Dabi giving Hawks side glances. Who. Did. That. Hawks screamed at himself internally.

Finally he couldn't stand Dabi's side glances. He stopped so Dabi stopped to. "can you stop doing that" he asked. Dabi stared at him "stop what" he said blankly. Hawks rolled his eyes "stop looking at me from the side like I'm gonna attack you or something" He replied. They were both quiet for several minutes. "sorry there was just something...," he looked Hawks straight in the eye "you just reminded me"
