When Heliodoros woke up he was nervous, nervous about the new town, the new people, the new school. He sighed and got up and did his morning routine. When he got out of the shower he remembered how cold it had been so he grabbed the box with his winter clothing and pulled out an acceptable outfit. He put on his black turtleneck, his black leather jacket, his dark blue jeans, and his tan boots. He spent ten minutes putting his sling on and smiled when he finally got it on correctly. He grabbed his black over the shoulder book bag that he used in Greece and walked downstairs to find his mother making him breakfast.
He smiled, "γεια μαμά, πώς είσαι σήμερα το πρωί?" Hi mom, how are you this morning? Elizabeth smiled and set a plate of food in front of Heliodoros, "I'm great. We must start speaking in English so you get used to it darling." Helios nodded and dug into his food, "I'll be starting my job at the hospital in Forks today. Speaking of which, how is your hand?" Helios sighed and looked at his arm that was being held in a sling, and looked at his hand seeing a dark blue cast on it. "It is healing. I can still barely feel or move it. It hurts to move my fingers." Elizabeth nodded and sighed, "Once I get settled into the hospital and know my way around, you can get admitted and I can give you another X-Ray. There's no telling if you'll ever get total function back." Helios sighed sadly and got up to put his plate in the sink, "Do not worry about me Μαμά, I'll be fine." mama. Elizabeth sighed and hugged her son, "I have to get going. I'll drop you off at school." Helios nodded and grabbed his bag with his right hand. He went to the car and dropped his bag to open the door. Once he got in the car and buckled up his mother drove towards the school.
They got to the high school in ten minutes and Helios opened the door. He was about to shut the door when his mother called out to him, "Darling!" Looking up he answered, "Ναι μαμά?" Yes, mom? She smiled and spoke, "Don't be nervous. It's just a school, with kids your age. You'll make friends soon." Helios nodded, "I love you, mom. I'll see you later." Elizabeth nodded and drove away when the door was closed. Helios watched his mother drive away before he turned towards the school and noticed that everyone in the parking lot was staring at him. He sighed and put his bag over his shoulder before walking towards the school.
When he got to the entrance he realized he didn't know where the 'office' was. He looked around and saw a short black haired girl and decided she seemed the most approachable. He walked up to her and tapped her shoulder, "E-Excuse me?" The girl turned and looked up at him before smiling, "Hello. Can I help you?" Helios nodded and spoke again, "I'm new. I need help with finding things. You seemed the most approachable and you also weren't staring at me. Do you mind helping me?" The girl nodded and stuck her hand out, "I'm Kim Conwell." Helios shook her hand and smiled, "Heliodoros Cirillo. You can call me Grayson." Kim nodded and motioned for him to follow her, "I'll lead you to the office." It was silent before she broke it with a question, "If you don't mind me asking, how do you get Grayson from, Hel-Helio-" He interrupted him, "Heliodoros?" She nodded and chuckled, "I'm from Greece. My father was Greek but my mother is from La Push. My mother wanted me to have an American name. It's my middle name." Kim nodded and pushed open a door to show the office.
Grayson didn't know what to do and Kim saw that so she spoke to the lady at the counter, "I have the new student with me. We came to retrieve his stuff for the first day. I don't mind showing him around." The lady smiled at Kim and looked at Grayson, "Name?" He stuttered, "H-Heliodoros Cirillo." The woman raised her eyebrow but spoke, "I'll be right back." Grayson nodded and sat in a chair next to Kim. Kim spoke as soon as he sat down, "You can sit with me and my friends. Since it's February and everybody already has their friend groups and stuff." Grayson nodded and smiled, "Thank you." Kim nodded and stood when she saw the woman come back with his stuff. The woman smiled and handed Grayson the papers he would need, "This is your schedule. Your locker number and code. This is a slip that you will need all your teachers to sign and you will need to bring it back to me by the end of the day." Grayson nodded and grabbed the papers.
Kim snatched the paper with his schedule on it and looked it over. "It appears that we have almost every class together." Grayson sighed, "Almost?" Kim nodded and shook her head, "Don't worry, it's only the last two classes, and my friend Paul has those two, you'll probably meet him at lunch." Grayson nodded and followed Kim to his locker, "Do you mind showing me how to open my locker?" He blushed when Kim stared at him, "You've really never been to school uh?" Grayson watched closely as she opened his locker and pulled out his books before handing them to him, "No, in Greece we had books, notebooks, and pencils but classes were always held outside. You had to just carry them to wherever class was being held that day. We had no switching of classes or teachers. I was just one teacher that taught you what they knew." Kim nodded and asked him a question. "What happened to your hand?" Grayson arched his eyebrow and she spoke again, "I-I just, its just that you have a sling and I was curious. I'm sorry."
Grayson, sighed looked down at Kim, "You're fine. I was just in a little accident, can't feel it." Kim nodded and smiled at Grayson, Grayson smiled back and saw Kim looking behind Grayson smiling even brighter, "You'll meet my friends now instead of at lunch." Grayson had a questioning look but his question was answered when he turned around.
When Grayson turned around he was shocked to see 5 hot boys coming towards him and Kim. He blushed and turned around to put the unneeded books in his locker. He closed the door and turned to see Kim hugging one of the boys. She pulled away and turned to Grayson, who had found his feet interesting. "Grayson, this is my boyfriend Jared and his friends." Grayson couldn't look up, nervous by how many people there were and how they looked as if they could snap him in two. Kim went to his side and nudged him, "They may look scary but they're like puppies." Grayson chuckled and looked at Kim. Kim smiled back and turned to the boys, so did he. She introduced them one by one, "This is my boyfriend Jared. This is Paul, Embry, Jacob, and Quil." Each boy smiled but three of them froze and their smiles fell, making Grayson uncomfortable. He nudged Kim and whispered, "Are they alright?" Jared hit Paul and Embry in the back of the heads while Quil nudged Jacob. Kim giggled and pulled Grayson towards their first class, "They're weird. I'll see you, boys, later!" Grayson turned around and smiled before following Kim, unaware of the three boys that melted under his smile.
Jared sighed and shook his head, "We'll ask Sam about this later. Right now we have to get to class." He walked away with Paul while the three stooges wondered how this was possible. Wondered how three shape-shifters could imprint on one person, and a male at that.
