When Opeli and Sage arrived to Porimma, Opeli expected things to go more smoothly. Sage would get his relic repaired, say sorry to Tulsi and work things out with her guidance. If only thing would go as smoothly as she wished them to be. She knew not many people liked Sage like the blond cat lady she met back at Mournfall. She never guessed how dangerously ambitious those people could get and in this case she was faced with one of Sage's foes. Elowen. Her heart was racing and fear was making her thoughts blurry as she watched how Tulsi had a sword to her neck. The fight resolved quickly. With Elowen surely winning and stealing Sage's relic, Sage running after her without a word to both Tulsi and Opeli. "Idiot. Not thinking things through, I bet he will get in a sticky situation." Opeli thought. Too mad to care, Opeli first tended the not too harsh bruises and some mildly serious looking wounds of Tulsi. "Has he always been this reckless Tulsi?" she asked calmly. "Reckless isn't enough to describe how much of a fool he is. How dare he ghost on me for five years and then appear looking for his sword, how dare he not even-" Tulsi hissed as she tensed one of her muscles and felt the needle stinging pain. "I do know he is running from something. There are things he is hesitant to talk about. I convinced him to apologize to you, yet we were faced with that blonde catwoman again. What was her name... Elowen. In his place I would like to apologise." Opeli continued to tend possible bruises with clean cloths. "I am not surprised if anyone goes after him for his head. And if anything it should be him who should apologise, not you. Either way, thank you for treating me.". Tulsi looked bothered. Angry, sad. As Opeli thought she had the right to be. "Rest for a day or two Tulsi. Get well soon and goodnight." Opeli managed to say as she left the shop and went on her way to find Elowen and Sage.
The streets of Porrima was a little chilly at night. Opeli searched every alley, every street. In hopes of finding the two cat persons. As she was striding, a figure with a dark cloak with two swords passed by. One that belonged to Sage. "Found you." Opeli thought as she lowered the hood of her cape. Silently following the hooded figure she was sure it was Elowen when she stopped at a dark alley and took her hood off. Watching behind a rotten stone building, Opeli didn't even breathe to not make a noise. "You're not a very stealthy sidekick are you?" the voice of Elowen rang within the empty walls. "He stopped tracking me halfway through. So, you have no one to save you ," Elowen took off her cloak with a sadistic grin. "And no one to hear you. I wonder how Sage will feel if I was to throw the dead body of his apprentice before him.". Opeli's breath hitched. Facing her with the little knowledge of both magic and combat, would be a deathwish. Opeli silently moved inside the rotting building. Rotting wood, Rubbles of stone, and the weak skeleton of the house made by the rotting wood. Her first idea, setting a trap to gain time and maybe even take her out, came to her mind. Tying a rope to one of the rotting wooden pillars, she hid behind the large boulders, waiting for Elowen to arrive.
The terrifying clicking of boots came closer as Elowen entered the building. Minutes felt like house as Elowen was now nowhere to be seen by her hiding spot. Just then, Opeli felt the sharp feeling of being grabbed by the neck. Elowen slammed Opeli to a wall with her sharp grip on Opeli's neck. Opeli tried to look angry, fearsome as she tried to frown in between the feeling of pure horror. Her feet was not touching the ground and she couldn't breathe. As Elowen slowly raised her sword to Opeli's heart. Just then Opeli decided to pull the rope. The wall shook following up to it collapsing on Elowen. Making a run for it, Opeli grabbed Sage's sword and ran.
Running through the streets and out of breath, Opeli looked for taverns. She hoped Sage might be in one of them. There was the Runny Eye they visited once. Desperate to find the place, it was as if Opeli was lost in a labyrinth. She made her way to the castle on top. "I will call for help there. There must be guards." she thought. Reaching on top and before the castle, somebody jumped on her. Trying to turn around Opeli heard the voice of Elowen who was also out of breath. "You, lasted longer than I expected." she said between huffs. "Give me the sword. This meeting has been long overdue. If anything he should fight me for it. Not a pathetic apprentice like you." Elowen got up to take the sword from Opeli's hands. Trying to hold on to it, Opeli collapsed where she once stood. Elowen turned around and walked away with the relic. With her final bit of energy, Opeli pushed both her and Elowen off from the side cliff the castle was standing on, to the sea. They tumbled in the air and soon hit the cold salty waters.
Opeli's slowly gained consciousness as the running river was dragging her body. Coughing the water out, she managed to get a glimpse of Elowen between the rushing water. Swimming over, Opeli saw that Elowen was not in a councious state. Holding her body, she decided it would be the best to let the river carry them to more calm waters and then she could drag her body to land. And so it went. The waters got both calmer and more shallow with that, Opeli swam to get both her and Elowen to the ground. Getting up, she applied pressure on Elowen's chest to help her cough up the water she might have swallowed. A few seconds passed. Elowen jolted upright in a coughing fit. Seeing how Elowen was at least alive and laying on the floor trying to catch her breath, Opeli checked if she still had the relic sword. She did. "Huh, well it seems I got lucky." Opeli muttered. Elowen growled behind her. "Or maybe not." Opeli continued.
