The dark purple cloak swayed with her swift movement. Fixing the witch hat she had, a single magenta flower fell. A pleased smile was on her now peach colored lips. Unlike Elowen who remembered them to be a dark shade of purple. Heels clicking, the young woman walked through the night. Elowen decided to follow her further, picking the magenta flower off of the floor. Humming of a sweet melody Elowen hadn’t heard before, the figure was skipping around in the streets. “Is this really how Opeli is every day?” Elowen facepalmed. “She really survives upon pure luck.” Elowen’s hood was lowered as she trailed after the purple cloaked figure. The market seemed to be little more crowded than expected. And yet, the figure seemed to be dancing around the people, still in that childish attitude. Greeting a few people on the way, they only seemed to go to more and more crowded places. Elowen noticed that she was starting to lose track of the figure in the bustling streets regardless of the night.

Picking her pace up, Elowen dived into the crowd. The people were slowly leaving. Elowen looked around. Her eyesight was brilliant, sharp. Seeing the the golden rim of the purple cloak disappearing behind a wall Elowen continued to follow. The chase was getting faster by each second. Something was not right. Elowen held her sword close to her as the figure was now running. She trailed after. Street after street, turn after turn, it was getting more tricky. Was she running into a trap? Did she mistook that person to Opeli, that hellbent on finding her again? And now, climbing buildings. No, this couldn’t have been Opeli. She was a fast runner, but Elowen knew how much of a low stamina Opeli had. Finally on top of a building, Elowen looked at the city below. Still had fresh scars from the war 5 years ago. Her hood was finally down. There was no sign of the woman she followed. “She must have run off. Wrong person anyway.” Elowen thought. The night air was chilly in Mournfall. The breeze was cool, unlike Porrima. Elowen stood on the roof. Even if she fell, she would land on her feet. She knew it. Following something as stupid and as unrealistic as a dream would only let her down. What did she even expect? For Opeli to welcome her with open arms and offer her tea or something? The last time Elowen saw her, the look on her face stuck her with disappointment, shock, heartbroken.
Her tail swished as she kept on looking down at the city. She was most likely in the backstreets of Mournall. Ears flickered, with a unimpressed look on her face Elowen turned around. The tip of a blade pointed right to her nose. Elowen got out her sword, the person didn’t seem to be attacked however. Elowen glanced down. “Well ,well, well, look who decided to follow me.” That voice… “Something you want, Elowen? Long time no see.” Opeli. The honey coated tones were hiding the threatening means of her sentences. “How have you’ve been? You know, I have been dying to see you again.” “Opeli.” Elowen locked her eyes with Opeli. “We both know you cannot beat me in a swordfight. Drop the tough act.” Elowen was scarily calm as well. “Why did you come here? You got his relic.” Opeli didn’t falter.  Elowen narrowed her eyes growling at Opeli. “I am not scared of you.” sword still raised Opeli continued. “I have learned everything I could while you were gone. And trained. So let me tell you, I have no plans of being the damsel in distress.”Opeli lessened the space between her sword and Elowen. Raising her eyebrows a little Elowen kept on looking at the sword then Opeli. With a swift move, she knocked Opeli down. “Trained you say?” Elowen laughed mercilessly. “Your stance wasn’t even right!” “Why do you care!? Why did you stalk me?” Opeli was angry. Welp. Now, not only she managed to make a fool of herself but also managed to sound like an angry chihuahua. “Great going you idiot.” Opeli thought. “Does not matter. I am not obliged to tell you anyways.” Elowen shrugged.   “Opeli! Opeli where are you?” distant shouts could be heard. “Ugh do they always follow you around like ducklings?” Elowen groaned.

“You have to go. If you still want to see me, I will be in the forest tomorrow morning.” Opeli lowered her sword and turned around to leave. Elowen stood watching Opeli leave. As Opeli ran back, she spared one final glance at Elowen. She was smirking.
