"Got a minute?" Lisa heard a male voice ask. She looked up to her right and frowned, seeing Jin's face.
"What do you want?" hostility was clearly heard in her curt voice. It didn't seem to bother Jin at all.
"So Jennie told me you were organizing a charity event?"
"Maybe we are, what of it?" Lisa glanced at him sharply and he sighed.
"What's with the hostility Lisa?" he asked. "Why do you treat me as some kind of a rival? I'd like to remind you that last time we talked you called me a 'fucking asshole' and tried to hit me."
The blonde winced, ashamed of herself. Yeah, she really went too far that day.
"About that... I'm sorry, I don't know why I said that."
"But I know. You were jealous of me and Jennie." he said calmly.
"What?! What the hell, I wasn't jealous!"
"Oh, come on, it was so obvious."
"I take my apology back, you really are an asshole! Don't you think I know that you have a crush on her? That all you want is to get in her pants?"
"Get in her pants?" Jin flinched in disgust. "Don't talk like that, it's beneath you. Yes, I had a crush on her and I thought I could make her happy. Just like you."
Lisa didn't know what was more infuriating, his words or how calm he was.
"You HAD a crush on her? You want to tell me that you don't anymore?"
"Well, let's just say that..." he paused. "I realized that there's someone else who makes her much more happy than I do."
"Who?" Lisa asked quietly after a brief silence, although she knew the answer to the question.
"I don't think I need to answer that, do I?" he looked her right in the eyes. "Jennie doesn't talk much, but when she does, it's like you're the only person on her mind. 'Lisa won't talk to me. I need to help Lisa. Lisa is mad at me. Lisa kissed me. I'm worried about Lisa.' All she talks about is you, it's always Lisa this, Lisa that, Lisa, Lisa, Lisa..." he paused seeing that the blonde got all tense. "I'm not going to lie, at first it was irritating because I thought I had a chance with her... Now I know that we can only be friends."
Lisa's heart was thumping loudly as she just stood there, dazed.
"So do me a favor." he continued. "And don't screw it up with her. Jennie deserves some happiness in her life, I think we both agree on this."
"I won't screw it up..." Lisa replied after clearing her throat. "And... Uhm... I was wrong about you, I'm sorry. You're a really good guy Jin."
"Yeah, yeah, don't go all emotional on me." he offered a charming smile. "And about the charity event, here's the list of our songs, choose whatever you want us to play at the event. Me and my band members can help with whatever you wish, if you want us to move some heavy stuff, you can count on us. Just give me a call, my number is written right here."
"Thanks." Lisa uttered but she knew that what Jin did deserved more that a simple 'thanks', so she extended her arm and looked at him softly. "Friends?" she asked.
He glanced at her hand, visibly amused. "Yeah I guess we can be friends." he chuckled and they shook hands. "And instead of thanking me, promise me that you'll always take good care of Jennie, okay?"
"I will, I promise."

Jennie nervously glanced at her phone, it was past 4 pm which meant that Lisa was late. They both had a meeting with food providers for the charity event this Saturday which was scheduled in an hour. No, she couldn't wait anymore. She hurried to the sport's hall and entered the girls' locker room.
"Have you seen Lisa?" she asked Sana.
"She's in the shower."
"Lisa!" Jennie went towards the bathroom. "Hurry up or we're going to be late!"
"Yeah, I'll be right there!" she heard Lisa's voice coming from the shower.
"You can go join her if you want, I'm sure Lisa won't mind." one girl teased Jennie and all girls began giggling. Jennie was already aware of the fact that there were gossips circulating around about her and Lisa being a couple, so she learned to ignore them. At least in her mind, because her body reacted like it always did: by blushing heavily.
"But seriously, are you two together?" Sana asked.
"No, we're just friends." Jennie said weakly, naively hoping that the conversation would stop right there.
"Really? Because I've been watching you two together and you're both definitely into each other. It's so damn obvious."
"Yeah, I noticed that too." Another girl agreed with Sana.
"So what's stopping you? Don't you want to be with her? Because I'm sure as hell she'd like to go out with you. Lisa had many girlfriends but I swear I've never seen her so whipped-"
"Sana, shut the hell up." Lisa appeared in the room dressed in nothing but a towel, her hair and body still wet. "Jen, just give me a minute to change, okay?"
"Sure... yeah... I'll be waiting... outside." Jennie stammered and headed out, confused beyond belief. She didn't even know why she suddenly lost her concentration, was it the sight of Lisa's almost naked body or...
"Lisa had many girlfriends." she recalled Sana's comment. Yeah, those were the words which disturbed her so deeply. It was like taking a painful sting to the heart. She had never experienced this feeling before so it caught her completely by surprise. It took several minutes and a few deep sighs before the hollow pain in her chest finally vanished.
Meanwhile Lisa was changing quickly, very much aware that all girls in the locker room were just waiting to tease her about Jennie. She wasn't wrong.
"So when will Jenlisa finally happen?" Sana finally dared to ask.
"What's Jenlisa?" the Thai didn't understand at first. "Oh. That's how you call us? I kind of like it, but sorry girls, we're just friends."
A few girls snorted ironically.
"Friends don't look at each other like that. Have you seen Jennie's face when you came out of the shower? If we all weren't here, you two would be making out right now." Sana joked.
Lisa couldn't ignore the fact that an exhilarating shiver passed through her body when she pictured in her mind her and Jennie in a hot make out session. Frustrated, she threw her clothes into the bag and glared at Sana.
"Leave us alone okay?"
"But all jokes aside, Liz. You know I'm your friend so please listen to my advice." Sana took her hand and squeezed it gently. "What you have with her seems to be really amazing. Life is short, you can't waste opportunities like that pass by. You have to go for it or you're going to miss something really great."
"I know. Thanks." Lisa took the bag and went out, a brand new resolution in her mind. After Jennie didn't respond to her touches, Lisa was slowly losing faith that she and Jennie would ever be more than a platonic couple. But her talk with Jin and now with Sana rekindled this faith, made her believe that Jennie could be attracted to her. So she decided to show more direct affection to Jennie, maybe even she could flirt with her a little? "Yeah, let's see how she reacts to that." she thought, suddenly feeling braver.
