Annika wanted to ask questions but she never meant to come out rude. She was hurt to see the look on his face, he felt bewildered and gloomy. She shouldn't have spoken so mercilessly, he did have a reason and she knew that. Sighing, she rubbed her forehead, biting at her bottom lip, quite aware that she was being watched by him. The last words he had said, he had gone to lonavala to sign a deal with Tia kapoor, that name sounded similar.
"I am sorry Annika. I couldn't contact you today, my phone was stolen on my way there. I called Rudra through Khanna's phone, I did not memorise your number but I did say Rudra to tell you that I went to lonavala today and that I lost my phone. Maybe he forgot something" Shivaay scratched the back of his head, he really didn't want to see her getting upset. Annika bit her bottom lip hard, she was too hard on him, wasn't she?
Annika was guilty now, she was jumping into conclusions by her own and now, she completely looked stupid. "Hey, it's not your fault either. If I was in your place, I would have probably hunted you down and would have been worried sick, so now, stop overthinking and gave me a smile" Shivaay grabbed her wrist, placing a gentle kiss on the back of her palm.
Annika couldn't help but think how wrong she really was. She inched closer to him, giving him one chaste kiss on his cheek, leaving him stunned. Shivaay had a grin on his face, this was the first time she publicly showed some affection, it was a progression, wasn't it? He grabbed her wrist, taking her towards his car.
"Where are you taking me?" Annika asked but he remained silent, opening the car door for her and she simply got inside, this man and his brain, both difficult to understand at times. When he himself sat down on the driver seat, he gave her a sheepish smile before he started to drive. Annika turned the radio on, only to hear about Shivaay, saying 'Shivaay Singh Oberoi was recently spotted with Tia Kapoor for a deal. We are speculating she might be the mystery girlfriend'
Shivaay coughed out loudly, turning the radio off and gazing at Annika who had a frown on her face. "Are these people stupid? You went for a deal, not on a freakin date" Annika said, her eyes looking outside the window. Shivaay sighed, these rumours were bound to happen, he knew this much at least.
He slowly moved his hand towards her's, which was resting on her thigh. Annika looked at his fingers laced with her's and then at his face. "I denied these rumours earlier but they keep bringing it up, I am sorry if that makes you upset" Annika's eyes softened, he was a perfect human being she had ever met, he was just proving her point each and every day. Her heart fluttered to know he cared so much for her.
"No, Shivaay, none of this is your fault, it's probably because of me" Annika looked down at her hand, she was too embarrassed by now, if it wasn't because of her, the world would have known that the two were together and the unnecessary rumours wouldn't have been circulating. Sighing, Shivaay tightened the grip on their hands, as he continued to drive with his right hand.
