Sitting near him was like setting herself on fire, his burning gaze over her was electrifying as well as made her hands sweaty. What she had ever wanted to do was grab hold of the thin shirt of his and drag him towards her. But as Gauri and Omkara sat mumbling things that were just the drunk words of theirs, Annika failed to recognise the words of what they said. Shivaay wasn't much of a drinker himself, he drank once in a blue moon and today, definitely was the blue moon.
Annika found him leaning into her even further more, she frowned at him as his face held a sheepish smile, he was grinning like a teenager. Annika giggled when he was about to place his hand over her shoulder but tripped. Shivaay looked wasted. Gauri and Omkara were chuckling at each other. "- No, you don't get to decide which position is better, you have to explore, you know -"
Annika wished that there was a key to lock Gauri's mouth because the words that were tripping off her tongue were absurd to Annika's ears. She didn't wanted to hear about their sex life and different positions? What was wrong with these two? Shivaay seemed to have taken interest in their conversation as he whipped his head from one person to another, countering back at each other. Annika rolled her eyes, this was not how she imagined the night to turn into.
Groaning, she got up, dusting away the sand off her dress. Shivaay gazed up at her, the moonlight caressing her soft, smooth skin, her midnight Black hair flying in the air, and just for some split of seconds, he had a tune in the background. Oh god, it felt as if he was in one of those cheesy bollywood movies where the main lead falls for the heroine. He blamed the alcohol for that.
"You guys, are you done?" Annika interrupted but the two of them were too busy to pay any attention to her. Omkara and Gauri had decided to stay tonight in one of the small beach house that was some distance away. Shivaay had a meeting early in the morning tomorrow, he didn't want to spend his night at the beach house, he had decided that he would head back but that was some hours ago, when he wasn't drunk. The beach house had unfortunately only one room, it meant Annika had to drag Shivaay all by herself back to his house.
But he was too wasted, if any one in his family saw him in this state, they would be beyond shocked. Annika didn't want that to happen, not certainly when he had a reputation and image to maintain. He was sitting down, giggling to himself. Annika blinked her eyes to make sure that he really was a lost case at this moment. It brought giggles to her own lips, it was not a sight to miss though.
Until and unless he was bearable, it was fun but if he starts to behave like a high person, she might just put some brain into his head. "Shivaay, let's go" Annika poked his shoulders with her index finger, Shivaay immediately turned his head towards her. He frowned, he didn't want to leave, he liked it here, on the sand, him and her, without a care in this world.
Shivaay shook his head, grabbing her arm and dropping her down at the place next to him. Annika gasped as she felt him grab her waist and lay his head onto her laps. "What - Shivaay, what are you doing?" She tried to unwrap his arms around from her but they were too tight to wiggle out his hold. Shivaay smiled, snuggling into her even more, he loved how she smelled, like coconut and lavender. At that moment, he knew what he more loved, teasing her and irritating her.
