part 4 - Date with Dana (part 1)

It's saturday morning, 10.30AM. 'Beth, I need your help,' I shout desperate. Beth is my 3 year older sister. She works in a fashion store, and always knows what I should wear for what occasion. 'what's wrong sis?' 'I have a date with the cutest boy EVER, and I have no idea what I should wear.' 'Okay. What about this yellow dress. With... these red shoes. And your new neckless.' 'Yes! Thanks Beth, you're the best!' 'I know.' She winks, and then walks out of my room. I get dressed, and while I'm having breakfast, I text Dana. 

Ashley:

Almost ready, I'll be there in half an hour. xo Ashley

Dana:

That's great babe, can't wait to see you. Kiss, Dana

I consider making a screenshot of his text, but then I realize that would be weird.

At 11 o'clock I arrive at Dana's house. I knock on the door, and Dana opens. 'Hey sweetheart, how are you,' he says while he gives me a hug. 'I'm fine, thanks.' We walk straight to his room. 'So, what would you like to do? Watch a movie?' 'Yeah, a movie is good.' 'What would you like to see? I have Twilight, Ted, Titanic.' 'Titanic! I love that movie!' 'Okay, we'll watch that.' 'Oh but wait, I ALWAYS cry at the end, isn't that a little awkward?' 'No! I think it's cute! I'll hold your hand, okay?' 'Yes, thank you.'  We watch Titanic, and as I predicted, I cry. Dana holds my hand, and pulls me close to him. I cry on his chest. He stops the movie, though it hasn't finished yet. 'What are you doing,' I ask. He grabs my face, and kisses me. Then he stops. 'Sorry, I just had to,' he says. 'No it's okay.' We kiss again. 'Ashley, would you like to be my girlfriend?' I nod. And again we kiss. Then someone enters the room. We stop kissing, and look at the door. It's mister Vaughns, Dana's dad. 'Oh I'm sorry, I didn't want to disturb..' 'It's okay. Dad, this is Ashley, my girlfriend.' 'Hi Ashley.' 'Hello mister Vaughns.' We shake hands. 'Do I know you,' he asks. 'Well actually, you follow me on Twitter, sir.' I giggle. 'So, what you guys up to today?' 'We just watched a movie, and tonight we're going to Pizzeria Bianco. Oh by the way, could you drive us to the restaurant, dad?' 'Yeah sure. Give me a call when you want to leave.' 'Thanks dad.' 'Yes, thank you mister Vaughns.' 

It's 8PM when we leave Dana's house. Dana and I sit in the back. 'What would you guys want to hear? Maybe some IM5?' 'No dad, why always IM5? You're always bragging about how amazing IM5 is. But maybe Ashley wants to hear something else.' 'I think it's really sweet your dad does that,' I try to defend daddy Vaughns. 'And IM5 is amazing, so I think that's okay.' 'Ha, you see Dana?' He puts the IM5 cd on. The first song is Everything About U. Dana takes my hand, and sings the song to me. It kinda intimidates me, but when mister Vaughns starts to sing along, the only thing I can do is laugh. It's just really cute. It's not a surprise Dana's so sweet, because his dad is also a sweetheart. When we arrive, mister Vaughns opens the door of the car for me, like a real chaperone. Then Dana's gives me his hand, and together we walk to the restaurant's door.
