Streets

        Beth had been missing for hours now.. It began getting dark and Daryl's lips formed a straight line. I sure as hell ain' givin' up on findin' her...not yet anyway.. ''Beth!.'' He called into the darkness, silently praying for an answer. Daryl wasn't sure where she was, but he was more then sure he'd do anything to find her and bring her back safely.

        Beth's eyes fluttered open. Her head was spinning and her vision blurry. Where am I? She thought to herself. Beths eyes wandered around the room; she was in a hospital. Why am I in a hospital? What the fuck? Where's Daryl? Beth put her hand on her forehead and instantly winced in pain. She had stitches. Beth got up off the hospital bed and began pounding on the door. ''Please somebody help me!.'' She screamed. A chrome key was put in the lock and the rafters turned. Beth jumped back in fear. A cop and what appeared to be a doctor stood at the door. ''Where am I?.'' Beth asked, looking around her franticly. ''Can you remember you're name hun?.'' The cop asked. ''Beth.'' The doctor nodded before turning back to go in the hallway. ''We found ya' passed out in the middle of the road, surrounded by skin eaters.'' The cop said and beth raised her eyebrows. ''You owe us.'' The cop said, stepping closer to beth so they were now face to face. '' 'Cause if it weren't for my officers, you'd be dead.'' Beth swallowed hard. The officers eyes dropped down to beth's wrist. ''What do we have here,'' She said. Clasping onto beth's wrist and bringing it clsoer to her eyes. ''I see you acted out at a time of weakness,'' The officer scoffed. ''Pathetic.'' The officer dropped beths arm and walked out of the room, leaving beth feeling disgusted and insecure. Daryl, where are you She thought.

        ''I'm going to find her.. now you can either come or I'm leavin' you.'' Lesley listened to Daryls words. His voice thick and sad. After what she said to beth, she instantly felt bad. So she paniciked and left her for dead on the road. After that she had no idea what happened to her. She now realized how much beth had meant to him..he's out there all day and night searching for this girl. ''I'll help you.'' She got up from the couch and gathered her things before heading out with Daryl. They walked in silence for about an hour before Lesley spoke. ''Daryl..'' He looked at her and narrowed his eyes. ''I'm sorry about what happened the other night...I wasn' thinkin' and I dunno what came over me.'' He persed his lips together. ''Yeah.'' Was all he said. ''But uhm promise you wont get mad at me and leave me...'' He stopped and turned around to look at her. For the first time, Lesley felt small. She always acted tough, like she didn't give two fucks about anyone or anything. But something changed in her. ''The other night when you stormed out....I took out my anger on beth.'' Her voice was hesitant and shakey. ''What?!.'' Daryl yelled. He was about to open his mouth again when she stopped him. ''There's more,'' He backed away from her and glared. ''I had beat her up..knocked her out and left her in the middle of the road there..I was hopin' you'd find her or somethin' so I could make a story but she was gone before ya' even got back.'' Tears began flowing from Lesleys eyes. Daryl was angry, worried, saddned.. He blamed himself for this, just like for Merle and Hershell and Sophia. He balled his fists up and punched a tree near by. When he had let most of his anger out he turned around, pointing to her with his bloody knuckles. ''I hope they fuckin' find you.'' He spat before picking up his cross bow and continuing down the path. Lesley sobbed behind him but he didn't care. ''Daryl i'm sorry!.'' Lesley yelled from behind him. ''Just let me help you find her!.'' Dispite all the anger and sorrow that filled him, Lesley knew these parts of town better then he had. ''Fine. But once we find her you're leaving.'' Lesley nodded and caught up to him. ''Theres only a few places she could be,'' Lesley sniffled. ''Now we can check factory in town along with the hospital. There were paramedics still searching the streets last time I was here.''

''And where are these places?.'' He asked bitterly. Lesley pointed to the ruins of a city ahead. ''There.''
