Love you guys! :)
Rayne's POV
Marilyn, Kyle, and my Dad are standing in the door of the hospital room looking absolutely shell shocked. Caleb jumps away from me, tripping over his own feet and falling backwards into the chair. His eyes are wide and he's staring at me with worry etched into his face.
"What the hell is this?" Marilyn says, her high heels clicking on the floor as she steps into the room looking pissed.
I open my mouth to say something but no words come out. I'm panicking. This can't be happening. This may be surprising but my Dad was probably the only person who didn't know about my sexuality and I wanted to keep it that way. I told my Mom about it after the divorce when he had already moved out. My mom was completely accepting of me. I remember her hugging me and telling me how much she loved me.
"I don't care if you're gay. I will love you no matter what. Never let anyone make you feel ashamed of being who you are. Stay strong, honey. No matter what."
A month later my Dad came back to visit with his new family. He took me out to dinner at this expensive italian resteraunt. He wanted me to meet Kyle and Marilyn since he was marrying her and she would become my new stepmother. I remember going to the restroom. I had no idea that Kyle had followed me in until I felt someone grab my shoulder.
"Why can't you speak?" Kyle was staring at me expectantly, clearly waiting for an answer.
I reached to pull out my notebook to answer him but he snatched it out of my hand.
"Do you think you're to good to speak to me and my mother?"
I shook my head. I jumped to grab my notebook back but he was taller than me and held it out of my reach.
"Let's get one thing straight. You and your Dad aren't good enough for my mom. Your Dad's an idiot and my mom is just using him to pay the bills. Once my father realizes the mistake he made for leaving me and my mom, they will get back together and my mother will leave your pathetic excuse of a father. Then you two can go crawl back into the dumpster you came out of."
I remember getting so angry and kicking Kyle in the shin. He doubled over grabbing his leg and dropping my notebook in the process. I run over to grab it but at the last second Kyle recovers and shoves me out of the way. He bends down to pick up my notebook which has fluttered open. I'm about to run at him again, but Kyle stops and begins reading something that catches his eye.
"You're a faggot."I look at him realizing that he's stating this not asking. It's obvious that he read the part where I came out to my mom. He drops my notebook on the floor and wipes his hands on his pants looking disgusted.
"I'm not letting some guy with a gay son marry my mom. Once my mom finds out about this the wedding will be off." He says marching out of the restroom.
I follow him worried about what he was going to do. But instead of making a scene like I thought he was going to. He sits down in a chair next to his mother and whispers something inaudible in her ear. Then they both turn to stare at me in disgust. He told Marilyn about my sexuality but the wedding wasn't off. Kyle and Marilyn just made sure that they made my life a living hell ever since.
And now here we are.
"Answer me right now young man! What the hell is going on?" Marilyn demands.
My dad still looks shell shocked, and Kyle is smirking evilly at Caleb. It's obvious that Kyle is going to use this against him. He's going to tell the whole school about us.
