the four ducks skated until they found the rest of there team. once they have found them, vicky and connie (who had barley seen each other all summer) entered a bone crushing hug with one another."I missed you so much!" vicky exclaimed well squeezing her best friend tightly.
finally the two pulled away and connie was able to have a good look at her. the first thing that caught connies eye was that vicky had no pink in her hair.
"Umm..wheres the pink?" she question, holding a piece of vickys hair in her hand.
"Well dont you think im a little too old to be doing that? were freshman now connie."
connies face fell a little bit. the pink streaks were her signature thing and for her to just give that all up suddenly was odd. the two had spent countless sleepovers in her bathroom re dying her hair, and would unintentionally leave a mess in there.
"well..I think you look great either way. also, whats with the new look?" connie eyed her up and down.
"don't you like? my aunt showed me all the best stores the city had!" she did a quick twirl in her outfit.
"its...different? for you at least." she spoke honestly.
"Nice skirt vicky where the rest of it?" averman remarked. this lead vicky to "accidentally" knock in to him making him fall right off his skates.
"got anymore questions?" she asked looking down at him.
"nope thats it." averman got back up and quickly skated away from her to avoid another fall.
as the ducks made there way to eden hall, fulton made his way over to vicky.
"hey why didnt you return my call last night?" he question.
"you called?"
"yeah..twice.."
"oh gosh I'm so sorry fulton, i got caught up on the phone with sara. we must have talked for about two hours, she was telling me ab-"
"wait whos sara?"
"the girl i met in new york. did you listen to anything i told you when i got back?"
"of course i did."
"then you would know who she was."
Not wanting to argue on there first day of school, Vicky skated her way over to Connie. Connie was shocked to say the least. It wasn't like her to just push fulton away.
"Who are you and what did you do with Vicky?" She asked.
"What?"
"What's with you and fulton?"
"Nothing.."
"Oh really? Because the last time I checked all you wanted to do was be around fulton."
"Well..can't I just have space? It's not like I have to be glued to him 24/7"
Connie frowned. Something was happening with her BFF but she just didn't know what to do. Her and Vicky had always been close since the start of district 5. She was the one who always braided Vickys hair before a game. The first person she told about her crush on Fulton.
"Ok city girl.." Connie rolled her eyes.
