You walked into the Salvatore school and saw Landon Kirby.
He was kissing some random brunette.
He was your summer fling last year and the year before.
"Hey Landon" you say walking toward him.
"Hey Y/N this is my girlfriend Hope" he says.
"Nice to meet you" she says holding out her hand that you shake.
"How do you know Landon ?" Hope asked.
"She's my best friend" he cuts in before you can speak.
One year ago ...
You laid on the beach next of your friend getting a tan.
A boy tripped over your feet making your friend laugh.
You glare at her and she instantly shuts up.
You stand up and help the boy to his feet.
"I'm so sorry" he says fumbling with his words.
"No worries let's talk" you tell him pointing to your friend.
You both walk along the beach and he says "I'm Landon Kirby".
"I'm Y/N Y/L/N" you smile.
"So have you been having a nice time off" Landon asked.
"Yeah actually I'm enjoying the freedom I've only been off two days" you respond a smile gracing your lips.
"Me too I go to Mystic Falls highschool" he tells you.
"I go to the Salvatore school" you respond.
"Cool" he smiles.
He looked so charming stood in the sunset so you did the unexpected.
You leant forward and kissed him not thinking at all.
When you pull away you say "I'm sorry".
"It's okay I actually have never had a girlfriend or a summer fling" he tells you.
He reconnected your lips to his and this is were your story began.
Back to present ...
After class you had been sat in the library looking up the Croatian for Alaric.
Landon sat next of you and said "I'm sorry about this morning just let me talk to Hope tonight".
"It's okay I love being dismissed by ex summer flings" you say sarcastically.
"Is this muppet bothering you" Penelope asked.
"No he isn't babe just talking about the past" you sigh.
"Okay meet at my room tonight" she calls to you.
"Will do" you respond smiling.
She walks off and you say "That's my girlfriend Penelope Park".
"I'm glad that you found someone who makes you happy Y/N you deserve to be happy" Landon smiles.
"You deserve that two Landon, Hope might be the one you never know" you tell him walking away.
