Susie groaned as she walked into the bathroom, tablets in hand. Hand shaking as the small pellets of white and pink and green rattled in her claws. Her arm began to heal. Some feeling returning to her sliced up fingers but it would take months for it to fully heal if it ever would.

Susie groaned, brows furrowing, "I can feel ya watching me ma...", she grumbled as she looked in the mirror, her mothers reflection looking back at her with a hardened but anxious look.

"I have to over look you now. More than ever.", Sarah responded standing in the door way, arms in her pockets watching every little twitch and movement her daughter made,"Do you need help?", she asked placing a hand on her shoulder,

"I'm fine.", Susie grunted lulling back her head shooting the pills down her throat before chugging a glass of water. Susie gagged and spluttered, arm clutching onto the side of the sink, claws digging in for support. Susie hissed as her arm had to trapped in this accursed mess of locks and fabric that most people would of called a sling.

The only thing Susie wanted to do was swing the thing around and around and throw it away with all her might. She hated it. Her mother had to clip it into place every morning and unclip it every afternoon and every night.

That's what you get for trying to rip your arm off dipshit.

"You ready for school?", her mother asked and Susie's stomach churned and her brain rattled with sharp voices and belittlements and fear.

The school would know how stupid and weak she was if they saw her like this. They would see how little and insignificant and petty she was.

"Do I have to go to school? I...I'd be better here.", Susie mumbled, "It be too much of a hassle for everyone if I'm lugging my stupid arm about y'know?", she gave a shrug and immediately winced clutching her arm, her mother moving closer and holding her shoulder.

"I'm fine, I'm fine...",Susie hissed between gritted teeth,"Kris will be missing me already.", she let herself smile a tad, "School won't be...too bad.",

"That sounded confident.", her mother responded incredulously, "If that's really what you want I won't argue, the school wouldn't mind you being off for at least today, you sure about this?".

Susie chewed on her lip and sighed with a sluggish shrug, "Ah forget it, Kris has no one else. I'll go.". Sarah smiled and gave her daughters cheek a pinch making Susie laugh and try to swipe her grip away, "Hey! Ha ha! Get off ma!",

"You've got a heart of gold you do! I'm not letting go until you say it yourself!", she smiled,

"Piss off ma! I'm not saying it!", Susie shouted laughing.

Her day seemed to be already a bit brighter.

Kris sat on the steps, it was extremely early.

They never much cared for school yet here they sat, the first person in line, nearly half an hour before it was supposed to open. With a backpack no less.

They never even brought a pencil to class a majority of the time.

The air was crisp with a cold chill, the trees orange and bright. It was forever autumn in HomeTown, the leaves did fall but they didn't change colour, it was always orange treetops and orange woods it was October and November every day, every month aside from Christmas.

Their swester was loose and baggy, warm and woolen. They had wore it for years, one of the first gifts they'd ever receive at his new home with the Dreemurrs. Kris did not know where they came from or who their real parents were but that wasn't an exact priority.
