The sun shone brightly through the blinds awaking the angered teen with a huff as they threw their duvet aside and couldn't be bothered to pick it back up.
The purple skinned lizard let out an annoyed yawn stretching their arms wide and clicking and cracking their shoulders. The teen groaned as they swung their legs to the side of the bed and cursed as water splashed to the floor. They groaned looking up to the ceiling with a great big hole though it.
Susie sighed as she picked up the now empty bucket and placed it back on the ground and stripped her duvet of its cover as it was soaking wet, "Great start to the day....",she grimaced before flinging the soaked clothe into the full basket of stinking clothes.
She stood up slouched scratching her back before making her way to her dented wooden desk and looked at herself through the broken mirror, she lifted her bangs cautiously and hissed looking at her bruised eyelid, a heavy dark purple,
"I should of been more careful....",Susie sighed before ruffling up her hair and getting out her hair brush and did her best to look somewhat presentable, she did have at least one friend and she wanted them to feel good around her and not embarrassed.
She placed her brush aside and gritted her teeth, nasty and yellowed, she licked around her gums and spat into her hand. Blood splattered against it before rummaging around her mouth and inspecting her bloody gums in the mirror,a dribble of blood dripping onto her already stained tank top.
There was a knock at the door as it slowly creaked open, her mother stood with a plate of toast and glass of milk on a tray, Susie smiled looking over at her as her mother walked into the room and set her daughters breakfast on the desk, "Thanks ma.", Susie politely thanked,
"Your welcome honey.", her mother smiled warmly, her skin a dull pink and a smile of pearly whites, she picked up the clothes basket and sighed, "Sorry, money is a little thin again, repairs will have to wait another week.",
"That's okay.", Susie smiled as she took a bite of her toast with a satisfying crunch, she chewed and swallowed,"I can always sleep on the couch.", Susie shrugged off as she took a hearty swig of her milk and let out a satisfied belch getting a glare from her mom, " 'Scuse me.", Susie added with a tired grin scratching her neck.
"Slightly better, I thought I teached you better than that.", her mother sighed with a smile, "Get ready, school soon, and please stay out of trouble, I can't afford anymore school transfers.", her mother reminded as she walked out of the room.
"I know, I know, I'm trying.", Susie sighed as she finished her breakfast and chugged down the rest of her milk before standing up and going over to her wardrobe.
A wide selection of clothes at her disposal.
Her jacket and her ripped jeans and a whole load of nothing else.
Susie threw them on quickly, not bothering to put on any undergarments in the slightest and slung her empty worn backpack onto her shoulder.
She walked downstairs as it creaked beneath her, she rustled in her pockets, her keys jangling in response as she head straight for the door and left the house without another word.
Susie walked across the cracked pavement, a brief twenty minute trek to her destination.

She let out a sigh of relief as she actually made it to school on time for once in her life, Kris waiting for her at the entrance, he gave her a wave as she gave a nod in acknowledgement.
Susie walked up the steps and stood in front of Kris, "How's it going?",
"Alright.", Kris replied, his voice less enthusiastic and exciting as a piece paper,
"So ya wanna go to the closet again or what?", Susie asked,
"I don't know.", Kris replied,
"What ya mean you don't know? That's the only thing we do together, that's the only worthwhile thing at this stupid place.", Susie huffed with a frown as she pinched the bridge of her snout before waving her hand at Kris, "If ya don't wanna do that, what else can we do?",
"I don't know...but I'd like more friends. We both need some.", Kris suggested, his voice a tired mumble,
"I don't need friends, I already got you Kris, you're cool as is, let's just see what happens alright?", Susie suggested with a slight grin,
"Okay.", Kris nodded as he stuffed his hands down his brown trouser pockets as he walked into school, Susie walking beside him,
"You never change outta that outfit do ya?", Susie smirked looking over at Kris in his outfit, he wore it so often it was practically impossible to see him ever without it, the green and yellow striped jumper and brown trousers,
"The sweater was a gift. I want to wear it until I can't anymore.", Kris responded,
"Your quite sentimental Kris, ya sure you're not sweet or something?", Susie teased as she scraped her teeth with her finger, she pulled her finger out and groaned in slight annoyance as she rubbed her hand against her jacket, smearing blood on the sleeves,
" What happened?", Kris asked,
" I got slammed pretty hard the other day, my teeth are pretty screwed.", Susie said as she readjusted the bag on her shoulder,
"Slammed by what?", the lanky human asked,
"Nothing dude, quit ya worrying.", Susie quickly dismissed as they got to class, Susie swinging the door open with a deafening slam as she walked in, hands in pockets and toothy grin before setting her bag against her desk and sat down.
Kris sat at the desk in front of her and opened up his bag, he pulled out a box of something and slid it on the floor behind him.
Susie tilted her head before picking up the box of chalks, she stifled a chuckle and stuffed them in her backpack.
She smirked as she plucked one from the boxes and bit into the powdery cylinder with a satisfying crunch and chew.
Susie smiled as she reclined in her seat.
Chalk is an amazing start for a day, life can't get any better than this, Susie thought as she awaited class to begin.
