(Y/N) sighed for the, what was it now, 16th time? She forgot, sleep catching up to her. With whatever energy she had left during this humid night, she turned her head to the right to check what time it was,
"11:47 pm... I guess he'll be late again tonight." (Y/N) frowned.
She didn't want to get up from the couch in the shared apartment, though she really loves food. So she can't let her fiancés portion go to waste. Her newly found motivation helped her up from the couch and (Y/N) went to put his food inside the microwave.
(Y/N) nicely wrapped it with plastic wrap and even left a little note to cheer up his night when he gets home.
'You're doing great, remember to rest to excel your own expectations ^.^ love you Haru'
After freshening up, she finally hit her bed. Sleep immediately took over.
Haru as quietly as possible closed the door to their shared apartment. He threw his work bad on the couch and dragged his feet towards the kitchen. He rummaged through the fridge and decided one some peanut butter jelly sandwich.
Upon opening up the microwave to heat up the bread, he found the dinner that was neatly wrapped for him. A tender smile grazed his lips as he read the note and proceeded to heat up the dinner instead. A better option anyways.
After he washed up the dishes, he quietly made his way to the bathroom to freshen up before bed. When Haru finished, he tried his best to be stealthy as he climbed into the bed so as to not wake his fiancé. (Y/N) stirred in her sleep, eyes fluttering open.
Haru gasped and apologized for waking her up. She quickly pulled him into her arms.
"Bear hugs!!!" (Y/N) wrapped her arms and legs around her fiancés body and smothered his face with well deserved kisses.
Haru chuckled and ran his fingers through her hair. "Sorry I'm late." he kissed her forehead. (Y/N) disagreed with him. "I know you're busy being a hero and saving everyone." She kissed his nose. They both gave each other a fond smile before drifting off to sleep.
"Protecting you." Haru gave (Y/N) a goodnight kiss as they cuddled into their dreamland.
