My Wattpad has been very drunk lately, so if you see two chapter 7's just ignore one. Sorry.
Tw: Remus thoughts like: torture, spankings, stuff like that. (No one is actually hurt...physically.)Remus' PoV
What if he ignored it? No, it's not like him to do that! I think... We were spending so much time together though! I thought he liked it! Liked me as a friend even! Was it a lie? Was our time apart what made him realize he...hates me?
I stopped pacing at the last thought. I clutched at my chest as it ached, staring at the ground. My emotions were all over the place. I was confused, upset, angry, and hurt. But I still had hope.
Maybe he's just running late. But that's not like him at all! Unless the others are keeping him... What if they locked him away? What if they're torturing him all because he spent time with me!?
"Remus, I can't take it anymore." Janus grabbed my hands and squeezed them gently. "Let's just go home, 'kay?"
"No! He'll come!" I whined and pouted, "Please, Jay..."
Janus sighed quietly and kissed my cheek, "Alright, Dear, let's go to him then."
"Yeah, maybe the note slid so far in it went under his bed! Or he lost it and forgot the time! Or- Or he dropped it in his coffee! Or he's fighting off a flock of deadly geese who stole it! Come on, let's go through the divide!" I ran down the hill with Janus in my arms, barely giving him time to pick up his hat, gloves, and capelet beforehand. I hated going through the divide because it felt...weird. I usually liked weird feelings but not the one I got inside the divide. It pricked my skin like needles and made me dizzy. There was also an overwhelming sadness in the darkness of the divide. Janus had said the darkness made him dizzy, but he didn't feel anything else. So I guessed it was just something I could feel and probably Roman too.
I screeched to a halt by the door and looked around to make sure no one was nearby. "Darling, you can put me down now."
"Oh, yeah." I set Janus down, and he patted my head. I opened the door leading into the light side's hallway and made sure no one was around there either. "C'mon, Jay."
I glanced back as he was slipping his other glove on. "Right behind you."
We snuck down the hall and into Logan's room, knocking softly before entering. His room was Logan-less. I looked around the floor and on his desk for the note I had slid under his door earlier but didn't see it. I sat on his bed with a pout. Where did it go? Did he have it? Was he really ignoring it?
I frowned and watched Janus move around the room as I thought. He seemed to be going through Logan's things. His desk, trash, nightstand, closet. "What're you doin'?"
"The note didn't just disappear." Janus sighed and put his hands on his hips, turning to face me. "Remus, why did you have to get attached? I knew this would happen... He's no different from the others."
"He is! You know he's different!" I whined, "He cares and listens! Why can't you trust him?"
"You know why I don't..." Janus sat beside me and rubbed my back.
"I'm sorry..."
"No, I'm sorry. Even if I don't trust him, I should trust you."
"Just not alone in the kitchen?" I nudged him with my shoulder and grinned.
"Just not alone in the kitchen." Janus nodded and laughed.
Logan's PoV
Entering my room, I quickly closed the door behind me and leaned against it with a sigh. That was exhausting. None of it was really enjoyable, but I didn't want to disappoint them. So, I just went along with it all.
"Logan." My eyes snapped open at Janus' voice, and I looked up to see him and Remus in my room.
"Oh, salutations." I nodded to them. Most of what the day had been. Just nodding and following along with what the others said.
"Where's the note?" Janus walked up to me, arms crossed over his chest.
"What note?"
"The note that Remus slid under your door this morning. Surely you would've noticed something like that, right?"
I looked to Remus, who was pouting, and then glanced around my room. "Did you go through my things?"
"Don't avoid the subject. Answer me." Janus snapped his fingers in front of me to bring my attention to him.
"Yes, I would have noticed that, but I never saw a note from Remus. I've been with the other three all day, so if you brought it in after that, I wouldn't have been able to see it until now. If it was beforehand, then I don't know where it is. Perhaps you misplaced it." I stared at Janus, being equally 'snippy.' I was exhausted and this wasn't helping any. Janus mumbled something that Remus seemed to hear because he smiled at whatever it was.
"You don't hate me then!" Remus ran up to me, "Can I give you a birthday hug?"
"Oh. You remembered... Yes, you may hug me." Remus immediately wrapped his arms around me tightly.
"I can give you birthday spankings if ya want too!" Remus giggled as he pulled away, "You up for another gift?"
"You really didn't have to get me anything..." I muttered.
"'Course I did! C'mon, we'll take ya to it!"
Could I have just written the gift in this chapter? Yes. Buuuuuuut I didn't...
