Chapter 4 - Invitation

Logan's PoV

What Remus said stuck with me for the rest of the night. Even when I returned to my room at midnight after staring at the stars with them. It was my first thought in the morning when I woke up too. Patton always called us family, but Remus said their family was real. What did that mean?

Going downstairs for breakfast, I saw Roman and Patton already up. They appeared to be making waffles with all sorts of toppings. My chest ached a little when neither asked what had happened to me last night. They hadn't noticed that I left and didn't return with them after their picnic. Shaking my head, I grabbed the coffee from the cupboard and went to the machine to make it. My morning routine was always the same. Wake up, get dressed, make coffee, eat breakfast, take care of hygienics, and get to work.

Returning to my room with coffee, I sat at my desk with a sigh. I really shouldn't have stayed out so late last night. Not that I would've gone to bed earlier anyway, I suppose.

Looking down, a note was placed on my keyboard. I picked it up and read the slightly messy and slightly fancy handwriting.

Last nite was fun! Cum back anytime! J says u can cum to our horror marathon tonite if ya want! He's making marshmallow popcorn! Soooo good! Wear pjs! (If u want.) P.S. we're starting at 9!

Perhaps I can watch at least one movie. It would prevent me from overworking and help me get to sleep at a decent time. Spending more time with them wouldn't be so bad. Plus, it won't be Disney movies. And I would very much like to know what marshmallow popcorn is.

Sorry for the short chapter. It used to be longer, but then I already rewrote it... (You should see how many rewrites I have set aside just in case. There's so many.) Also, have you ever had marshmallow popcorn? I used to have it at my cousin's house... I have no idea what's in it. I assume like melted marshmallow or something?
