Chapter 16 - Strangely Comforting

Tw: Remus mentions dismemberment and killing the others. Is that it?

Logan's PoV

"So, which one dared to tell you that you're just a toy to us?" Remus spoke, causing me to jump. I had been too focused on my own thoughts to notice the lack of snoring. Remus sat up and wrapped an arm around me, letting me rest my head on his shoulder.

"I don't want to go into the details right now... But I know what happened to the note you meant to give me. Virgil got a hold of it and showed the others. Patton had a talk with me about it and you guys. I'll just leave it at that." I sighed, staring down at my hands.

"Hey, I may or may not sneak off tonight to kill the others. How should I do it? Dismemberment? Flock of rabid geese? Throw them in one of those brazen bull things? I've always wanted to try that one. Hmm, why haven't I?" Remus hummed to himself.

I smiled a little, "Use their fears against them. That'd be more entertaining."

"You genius! I'd say there's a stroke of mad in there!" Remus ruffled my hair, making my smile widen.

"I blame you for it. You're an influence on me that is either good or bad, I have yet to decide." I leaned back a bit to look at him.

"Well, if you're talkin' like that, I'd say it's good!" Remus giggled and flopped us back against the bed. "What else have ya learned?"

I laid my head on his shoulder again and wrapped my arms around his middle as I rolled onto my side. We talked for a long time mostly about different torture methods that were both mental and physical. It was quite nice to just speak without interruption or judgement on why I knew about these things. Cuddling with Remus was nice too. Okay, it was actually really enjoyable. Being able to just relax in his arms as we both rambled was...well, amazing. Janus was right. Remus was good at comforting others in his own strange way.

"Talking with you is fun and educational! Though I must admit I would like to maybe actually do something with you."

"You need to do something more stimulating." I nodded and pushed myself up.

"I know something much more stimulating." Remus snickered.

"Dear Newton." I rolled my eyes and laughed a little. "What would you like to do that's not to copulate?"

"No fun." Remus stuck his tongue out but flashed his goofy grin as he jumped up. "Hmm... Let's go down to the observatory! I think I know something that'll interest both of us!"
