As incredible as it seems, my partnership with Grim showed itself incredibly useful against the ghosts. With me telling him where the spectrum were, and Grim breathing his fire on them, we succeeded in making them retreat
- Hee, heeeeeeee ! We're goners ! Run away~~!!
Once the ghosts finally disappeared and left us alone, Grim stopped throwing his fire and blinked, while I took him in my arms, raising him in the air
- E-Eh ? We... won ?
- We did it, Grim !! The ghosts are gone, thanks to you !! You're amazing !!
He quickly came back to his sense and sighed, relieved that the spirits were gone
- Ha-Haa... That was scar-
- Oh my, was the 'Great Grim' scared ?
I smirked teasingly, knowing that he was too proud to admit his fear, and he immediately denied my statement
- No, I wasn't scared at all ! This is nothing for the Great Grim ! How 'bout that that, ghosts ? You done ?
- For now they're gone, but I feel like they're going to come back at a moment or another. Until then, we can rest a bit.
Whoever knocked at the door decided otherwise. Oh c'mon, we just fought with three ghosts, let us rest for one second !! When I opened the door and saw it was Crowley, I held back from closing the door and merely frowned
- What are you doing here, Headmaster ?
He completely ignored my question and the expression on my face and greeted me, a smile on his lips and holding a basket from which I could smell the delicious aroma of food. Finally I'm not that unhappy he's here
- Good evening. I have graciously brought you supp-
He stopped speaking when he saw the creature next to me. The smile crossing his face was soon replaced by a frown and a glare, the memory of Grim trying to burn down the whole school still fresh in his mind
- You're the monster that ran amuck during the entrance ceremony !! I threw out of the school, what are you doing here ?!
Grim responded to Crowley's glare with his usual smirk, standing proudly in front of him
- Hmph ! I exterminated the ghost problem ! Be grateful !
- Hmm ? What do you mean by that ?
Crowley glanced at me for explanations. Oh well, guess I've no choices. And then, if I tell him what happened with the ghosts, he might let Grim stay here. He was a pain in the ass, but he helped me, so I must do the same for him
- The dorm is haunted by ghosts. We were attacked by them so we teamed up and thanks to Grim, we made them run away.
He nodded and placed his hand under his chin
- Now that you mention it, there were some prankster ghosts living here so students keep away from this dormitory... And that's why it is now empty. I'd forgotten that.
- Don't you think you should've told me about it ?!!
- My apologizes, I thought it wasn't such an important detail.
So he knew the dorm was haunted and he didn't told me anything ?... What does stop me from kicking that guy again ? But the part which interested him the most was my partnership with the monster
