It Helps To Talk About It

Shockwave's POV.

After the Primes return we were all moved to a human military base, Primus I didn't like humans. But I dealt with it for my mate's sake, I look at my mate as she was resting on the medical berth. She had used a good bit of her power to save Stardust, the last time she did that spell she nearly killed herself. My optic dimmed as I thought about that awful day, I sigh sadly as I shack the memory away. "Shockwave" I turn to see Y/N walking in "Y/N" I greeted her as she walked over.

She looked at Soundwave "How is she?" she asked as sat on the other side of the berth. I stayed silent for a moment before turning to my mate. "She's fine." I answered as I put my hand on her head "How are you holding up?" she asked me unsure if she should ask. I glanced up at her as she looked at me "Pardon?" I asked confused as I tile my head slightly. "I know if I was you, I would be worried sick." she explained as she pointed to Soundwave.

I look back down at her "Shockwave, may I ask you something?" I turn back to Y/N, waiting for the question. "Did you two really have a pup?" she asked, I looked down as I thought about if I should tell her anything. I then sighed as I look at Soundwave "We were preparing to have one." I said sadly "She tried to use the same spell that saved yours but it nearly killed her in the process." I added.

It was silent as I walk away for a moment "You know, it sometimes helps to talk about it and we are family now." she said with a small smile, I walked back over as I checked Soundwave over. I stayed silent as I remembered that moment of my past, I sigh "Vary well then."

~Flashback~

I watched as Lord Megatron walked into my lab, it was the early days of the war. Soundwave was by my side as he got closer, I stayed still as he stood in front of us. I didn't know him well at the time, I only knew of him by what my mate had told me. So I was a little on edge because of Soundwave carrying my sparkling but me and her were the only ones who knew about what she carried.

"Lord Megatron, what do I owe the pleasure?" I asked as I hid my anxiety and nerviness away from him. "I only came here because I did Soundwave for a mission, come Soundwave." he ordered as he started to walk away. I panicked as I quickly came up with and excuse to talk to her "Of course my liege but is it alright if we finish this up."  I gestured to the screen "It will only take a few more moments." I hoped that he would fall for it, I felt my body relax slightly as he rolled his optics. "Bridge yourself to the war ship when your done here." he growled as he left. 

I sighed in relief as I turned to Soundwave "What are we going to do, your carrying." I stated as I looked at her, we just found out about the sparkling a little bit over 3 weeks ago. "I know your worried for our pup Shockwave but if I don't go now Megatron will get suspicious." she said as she held the side of my face. I sigh as I nod, I hugged her one last time before she left. 

*small time skip*

It had been a few hours since Soundwave had left and I was pacing around my lab as I waited for her to arrive. I whipped around as I heard a ground bridge open up behind me, Soundwave came through holding her side limping.  "Soundwave?!" I called in worry as she collapsed into my arms, I quickly picked her up an lay her on a berth. "I'm sorry Shockwave, I tried to save h-him." she said as she pasted out, I panicked as I saw her flat line. "Soundwave!" I quickly got to work on getting her spark back online.

After hours of working I finely got Soundwave stable. When she woke up hours later she broke down as she told me what had happened. She was in a fight with the Autobots one of them ended up hitting the sparkling killing it instantly. After that day she wasn't the same and rarely talked to me.

~Flashback End~

When I was done I looked at Soundwave "It killed me to see her so broken." I said as I look back up at Y/N. After that Y/N left as to leave me alone with my mate. I sighed again as I look at her, I could help but chuckle lightly "I know your up." I said as she sat up. "You opened up to someone that wasn't me." she stated as I look at her, I held her hand.

"Well she is family after all." I looked up at her.

"And you can trust your family."
