The entire country was thrown into great shock as the news of Sang Myung-Ki's murder travelled to all nook and cranny of South Korea. The billionaire industrial mogul and Chief Executive Officer of Sang Corporations was murdered at Four Seasons Hotel after attending a meeting with top business executives. The police had arrested Choi Cheonjoon, who was caught of CCTV cameras in connection with the murder.
Grace and Eunseo were shocked to their marrow when the police came to arrest Cheonjoon. Grace had immediately called Barrister Min-Soo to inform him of the latest developments. She cried endlessly as the police team led him to the car and drove off.'
Barrister Min-Soo wasted no time in sprinting to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Headquarters. He was certain that there was some sort of misunderstanding. Perhaps, Cheonjoon was being framed up for the murder. He had to find out what was going on. He was directed to the office of Superintendent Jun-Seo who was in charge of the case.
'Choi Cheonjoon was caught on CCTV cameras at the private parking lot of Four Seasons Hotels,' Superintendent Jun-Seo explained to Barrister Min-Soo. 'Also, Mr. Sang's chauffeur Joon-woo testified that Choi Cheonjoon was the one who attacked him.'
'What's next now?'
'Investigations have commenced already. He will be charged to court as soon as we conclude investigations.' Superintendent Jun-Seo explained.
'Can I speak with him?'
'Of course,' he replied. 'Please come with me.' He led him to the cell where Cheonjoon was kept. 'You have ten minutes,' he told him as the policeman on guard to open the door to the cell for him to enter and locked it behind him.
'Thank you Superintendent.'
'Thank you for coming, Barrister Min-Soo,' Cheonjoon said solemnly.
'What have you done Cheonjoon? Why did you do that?'
'I'm sorry Barrister. I did what I have to do.'
'You can't be serious Cheonjoon. I warned you!' he paced around the cell in frustration. 'You have no idea the level of crime you've committed. Do you think being sorry will get you out of jail?'
'He killed my parents! He deserves to die and I have absolutely no regrets killing him,' he retorted.
'Now what have you achieved? A global status? Now you've successfully turned yourself from victim to culprit. Even if he truly killed your parents, why on earth would you ever think of taking laws into your own hands? You could have let the police do their job!'
'You speak of the police as if you have no idea how compromised they are. They knew Sang Myung-Ki murdered my parents but they were never ever going to do anything about it. You know that Barrister, you know that!'
'I disagree with you Cheonjoon. I always told you we should let the police do their jobs. There was not enough evidence to prove that it was Sang Myung-Ki that killed your parents nor was there any evidence to prove that the police were compromised over the case.'
'I do not care. I did what I had to do. Sang Myung-Ki deserved to die and he's dead. That is what matters most to me. Now that's final.'
'Oh really? That is what matters most to you? What about your siblings? Grace? Cheon-Ha and Soojin? They were looking up to you to provide them with strength and courage. You failed them. You let all of them down.'
'They will understand why I did what I have to do later.'
'And the corporation? Who is going to run it now? Decades of your father's hard work will disappear down the drain all because of your quest for revenge?'
