Cheonjoon was preparing to go to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Headquarters when Chun-Hei's call came in on his phone. He had met with Barrister Min-Soo the previous day and showed him the document. While Barrister Min-Soo was honest enough that that was not enough evidence to nail Sang Myung-Ki, it would at least prompt the police to invite him in for questioning and reopen investigations. Thereafter, he had called Senior Inspector Taehyun and informed him that he finally had evidence that his parents' were indeed murdered. Senior Inspector Taehyun had immediately fixed an appointment with him for the next day.
He slid the receiver to the right and placed the phone on his left ear. Barrister Min-Soo had advised him not to inform Chun-Hei about his discovery as it could build enmity between them. Chun-Hei had stood by him over the last few weeks and he would understand if he felt bad that his grandfather had been fingered in the murder of his best friend's parents. He didn't want anything to affect their relationship hence, he took Barrister Min-Soo's advice and kept his discovery away from him. There was no way he was going to blame him for the heinous crime that his grandfather committed.
'Hello,' Chun-Hei's voice rang out from the other end of the phone. 'How are you doing?'
'Chun-Hei, I'm fine. Thank you. How are you?'
'I'm alright. Thank you. How is the search going? Have you found anything yet?'
Cheonjoon sighed. 'Not yet. I hope I'll find something soon though.'
'Don't be discouraged friend; I believe there is light at the end of the tunnel.'
'Thank you friend, I really appreciate.'
'Don't mention Cheonjoon. What are friends for?' There was a few seconds of paused before Chun-Hei continued. 'I have some information for you.'
'What is that? I'm all ears.'
'I won't be able to come today. I know I promised you I would come today to help you out with your search in the study but something beyond my circumstances came up.'
'It's alright Cheonjoon. You've really been there for ever since I lost my parents and I can't appreciate you enough. I hope everything is alright with you.'
'Yes, everything is alright. It's my grandfather.'
Cheonjoon was alarmed. His heart began to race faster again but he tried to control his emotion and he hope Chun-Hei had not noticed already. 'What happened? Is he alright?'
'Ah! Yes. He's alright. His company just won the Seoul Project. In fact, the announcement is being made on television right now.'
'Oh really?' he took the television remote and switched on the television and sat back in his chair.
'Yes. I think he wants my mother and I to be present at the signing of the contract.'
'That's fine. Congratulations to your grandfather.'
'Thank you Cheonjoon. I'm sorry, I've got to go now, my mother is here.'
'Alright. Take care friend.' He dropped the call and increased the volume of the television. The news ongoing on Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation-TV was about the Seoul Project. He summoned Grace who joined him immediately.
The Seoul Multimillion Industrial Project was today awarded to Sang Corporations. A female reporter for MBC-TV said. Sang Corporations successfully beat five other corporations including the leading Taewoon Corporations to emerge as the contractor for the project. Taewoon Corporations had been the leading corporation to land the multimillion project until the death of the company's Chief Executive Officer a few weeks back. Prices of the stocks of the corporation fell rapidly amidst the controversy surrounding the death of its CEO, Choi Taewoon. Business experts say the government was not willing to take the risk and hand the project to Taewoon whose stock was yet to recover following the devastating fall in prices weeks ago. Experts in the production industry also believe that this event might mark the beginning of Sang finally overtaking Taewoon as the leading production corporation in the country.
