Tender kisses and I'm floating on air. You can have me anytime, anywhere.

Lily had just slipped into her silk robe when their was a knock on the door. Thinking it was Ada returning to drink some more she quickly opened the door.

"Tommy!" She whispered as she pulled him into the room "It's bad luck to see me before the wedding" she said as she shut the door, hoping nobody saw.

Tommy grinned boyishly and she realised he was drunk "You create your own luck Lily" and he slipped his coat off to reveal he was only wearing a white shirt. Lily gulped as her body started responding to his dressed down look.

"You're drunk" she teased as she accepted his arms around her.

"That I am" and he leaned down and kissed her, his lips sweet with whiskey. As his hands skimmed the glorious fabric he happily left them on her backside and squeezed.

Lily squealed and tried to pull away but he wasn't having any of it as he scooped her up and started walking her towards the bed.

"Will you stop fidgeting!? You're making me nervous" Lily cried at Michaels side who was fixing his cuffs for the eighteenth time in two minutes.

"Sorry" he mumbled before putting his wrists at his waist so he couldn't distract himself "Are you nervous?" He asked her.

Lily raised an eyebrow as Polly placed a long Ivory veil into her hair, sliding the grip into her up do. Lily instantly felt the weight and prayed nobody stepped on the back of it.

"Yes and you're making it worse!" She hissed before sliding her hands down her dress to prevent any creases. The dress was made with beautiful ivory, a cinched waist line with lace sleeves. The train was the one part Polly requested and she was happily to oblige.

"Don't be nervous love" Polly smiled as she walked around Lily to ensure everything was perfect.

Lily let in a shaky breath and nodded, she had nothing to worry about, Tommy had snuck into her room that night before and told her so.

A flash of him whispering "Mrs Shelby" into her ear began to settle her.

"Who wants champagne!?" Ada beamed as she entered the room with a bottle of four glasses.

"Now your bloody talking!" Lily grinned as she moved towards Ada. A strong drink would at least calm her nerves.

Lily and Michael stood waiting behind the large oak doors to the church. Grinning at one another they where both excited to be doing this together.

"Thank you for walking me down the isle" Lily sniffed, grateful for her best friend being there on the most important day of her life "I'm really glad you're by my side today"

Michael squeezed her arm and placed a loving kiss on her cheek "I'm honoured. Whatever happens in this life of ours Lily me and you will always be best friends. You will always be my family"

Michael stepped from her arm and lifted her veil over her face "I hope that my future holds a woman as strong and loyal as you Lily. Tommy is lucky to have you" and he took her arm once again.

Soft violins began to play and a sudden rush of nerves overtook Lily. Pulling herself together she squeezed Michaels arm and grabbed at her flowers from the side table.

The large oak doors suddenly opened and through her veil Lily saw Tommy stood proudly on top of the steps alongside his brothers. Lily felt her heart begin to hammer in her chest as she realised just how much she loved him.

Even with everyone's eyes on her she couldn't pull them away from him, everything slowing down as they where pulled together.

Just as she stopped before the steps, watching as Tommy began to out stretch his hand to her she turned to Michael who lifted her veil.

Quickly kissing his cheek she turned back to Tommy who winked at her and she flushed, remembering last night when he snuck into her hotel room.

Grabbing his hand she let him walk her up the stairs and they stood in front of his family and loved ones. Before the vicar could start he leaned into her and whispered "You're the most beautiful woman to grace this earth"

And, we're done. I wanted to say a huge thank you to Lily and Tommy for gracing my brain for the passed few months and allowing me to tell their story.

I also want to thank you all for your amazingly thoughtful words and encouragement. I spent many days laughing and grinning like a fool as I read them.

If anyone wants to know more about Lily or Tommy feel free to leave a comment. One example is someone asked me if Lily forgave her adoptive parents :)

Again, thank you for spending your time with me and this story. This is for you all.
