˚◞♡ ⃗*ೃ༄Narcissa Malfoy softly closed the door, letting out a sigh and dropping her hands into her head.
"Lucius. The dark lord wants to come here, soon. To discuss."
The man sitting at the end of the long wooden table let out an irritated huff and turned around. "Why so soon? I thought we had time."
Narcissa slightly shrugged her shoulders, her mind focused on something else.
The boy upstairs, confined to his bedroom, Draco Malfoy.
The blonde woman was worried about the fourteen year old. He had never really had proper friends from a young age, and she knew his childhood had been difficult. She did. But what could she, Narcissa, do about it?Several of these meetings were held along the calendar of the year, and she knew her son hated them. Not that she enjoyed them, but Draco was usually at Hogwarts when they happened. She couldn't wipe his disappointed face from her mind, when she first told him he would be spending his Easter holidays at school, and it broke her heart.
She knew that one day, he would have the same fate as she once did, and become one of the Dark Lord's followers, but she secretly hoped he had a while. He was just a boy, for now at least.

𝐃𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐎 𝐌𝐀𝐋𝐅𝐎𝐘 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐀𝐓 𝐀 𝐋𝐎𝐒𝐒 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐃𝐒. It wasn't exactly a secret that his parents worked for the Dark Lord at Hogwarts, however the feeling of telling Aurora made him uneasy. Would she think less of him?
"I- er- I'm staying at Hogwarts over the holidays to... uhh- study!" He exclaimed, proud he had come up with an excuse.
Aurora narrowed her eyes at him. "You're staying here for a whole week to study? Could you not do that at your mansion you have?" She questioned, raising an eyebrow.
Draco shook his head quickly, his blonde hair tickling his eyebrows, and deciding to change the subject. "Well why are you here? I thought you were staying with the Weasleys?" His nose scrunched in disgust at the mention of the surname he hated so much, and she rolled her eyes at him.
"No, actually. I'm staying with my aunt."
Now it was Draco's turn to look confused. "But I thought- your parents were your only family?"
"It's a long story, I'm not even sure myself. Dumbledore just told me. Long lost aunt, I guess?" She tried to laugh, but her voice was shaky.
Draco's grey eyes met with hers, and suddenly she felt the familiar fluttering feeling in her stomach return. They were filled with concern, and his eyebrows were knotted together, like he was thinking.
"Aurora. Do you... definitely trust this woman?" He asked suddenly, and his tone was much more serious than a second ago.
Aurora felt suddenly panicked, and she looked down, feeling her heart rate increase. "Draco- I-I actually don't know." She spoke, her voice now desperate. She needed some confirmation. Whoever this person was that she being sent to, related or not, she knew not to trust her yet.
"Dumbledore was acting so strange, so cheery- and- and Mcgonagall too. It was like they were-"
Draco cursed under his breath. "-under a spell."
At this, the girl jerked her head up, eyes widening. "No, no, it can't be." She breathed, the realisation hitting her.
Draco stayed silent for a second, his mind frantic. Should he let Aurora go? the idea of inviting her to stay at Malfoy Manor vanished from his head as quickly as it came, and he was staying at school anyway, and he doubted she would want to go anyway.
The ticking of a distant clock brought them both back to reality. "Draco. Maybe we're- maybe we're just overreacting. Since when has Dumbledore allowed himself to he controlled by a spell? It just doesn't make any sense." In all honesty, she didn't even half believe the words she speaking herself, but she needed someone to convince her.
"And anyway! It's not like I've forgiven you yet." She crosses her arms, letting out a soft huff.
The blonde boy rolled his eyes at her, letting the wind ruffle his hair gently.
"Bloody hell. There's more important things than our stupid argument right now though, don't you think?" He spoke, his sharp voice cutting through the night air.
Aurora stayed silent, not wanting to give him the satisfaction of agreeing.
"Whatever. I'm going to my aunts tomorrow. I'm sure that she's lovely, and if not-"
Draco cut in. "Then you will let me know right away, and I can come and help you."
The sides of Aurora's lips turned up slightly, the ghost of a smile dancing over them. "Thank you, Draco." She whispered.
The pair sat for a short while more, enjoying the calm, and watching the stars.
It felt a lot like old times.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐍𝐄𝐗𝐓 𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀𝐔𝐑𝐎𝐑𝐀 𝐆𝐎𝐓 𝐔𝐏 𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐋𝐘 and opened her blinds, groaning as the bright sunlight hit her face. She quickly got dressed, brushed her teeth and attempted her hair. She had been hoping to see Draco and get a sneaky goodbye before she left, however almost the second she had finished getting ready, Mcgonagall had told her it was time to leave.
Taking a deep breath, she took one last look in the mirror and forced a smile. She had to make a good impression on her aunt, considering it was the first time they had ever met, so she felt some effort on her part was needed.
Considering no one had told her how she was actually leaving the school, Aurora was curious. Where did her aunt even live?
Mcgonagall guided her to Dumbledore's office, where her aunt waited.
She was nothing like Aurora had expected.
Tall and slim, a dyed blonde bob, lots of red lipstick, high heels, and- a dog.
A small, beady-eyes chihuahua stared back at her, barking a little and making Aurora shudder.
Snapping out of it at her voice, her eyes moved up to meet her aunt's ones, and she tried to smile, but it just looked like a wince.
"Aurora! My goodness, I've been dying to meet you." She spoke, her voice sickly sweet. "My name is Coralina, but you can just call me Cora."
She nodded slowly, taking in this information. "Excuse me? If you don't mind me asking, how will leave Hogwarts?" Her voice shook a little, the tall blonde woman before her slightly intimidating.
"Oh, apparating, of course!" Coralina said, as of it was the most obvious thing in the world.
Aurora's eyes widened, and a sheer look of confusion spread across her face. Did this woman not know the law?
"I-I'm only fourteen. I'm afraid that I can't."
"Nonsense!" Coralina's tone went slightly colder, causing a shudder to run down her spine. "Why ever not?"
Aurora stares at her like she was a dementor, regretting her decision to stay with this crazy woman more every second. Well, it's illegal!" She glanced to Dumbledore for support, but he was just smiling, a slightly dreamy look on his
face. "No, no, you go ahead Miss Westwood! Oh, apparating is so fun..." he trailed off, waving his hand vaguely into the distance.Well then, I guess I'm breaking the law tonight. I am fucked.
