They waved their hand frantically, and I weaved my way through the bodies around me, tripping over multiple gowns on my way.

"Double Trouble!" I exclaimed when I approached them.

A wide grin crossed their face as we embraced in a quick hug.

"How's business in the Horde, honey?" DT asked, gliding over to the refreshment table and handing me a glass of champagne before taking one for themselves.

I shrugged, taking a sip from the glass. The champagne was oddly sweet. "Eh, it's okay. It gets boring when I have to listen to Catra talk about her friend Adora constantly."

"Ah," they mused, their yellow eyes taking in my Princess Prom outfit.

"Thanks," I smiled, looking down at my black suit, stuffed with black sequins. "I honestly could've put more effort into my appearance, but I didn't." I shrugged casually, and took another sip of champagne.

We stood by the table of food for a minute or so, brewing in the awkward silence.

Double ruffled their feather boa, and cleared their throat a couple times before asking, "Remember our little escapades in the Crimson Waste?"

"Little?" I giggled, looking them in the eye again. "The gigs we pulled were anything but little! We go way back, my friend."

Double Trouble gave a little laugh before wrapping their arm around my shoulder, and my heart went crashing into my rib cage, as the memories of my enormous crush on them came rushing to me.

We chatted about the old days as we sat in chairs against the banquet hall walls, both of us on our second glass of champagne.

"Do you remember when we crashed that entire pub just to get that one guy?" I laughed, as I gave DT my glass so I could shrug off my black jacket.

"The entire bar went silent when we came barreling through the window!" Double Trouble practically gasping for air as they laughed. "I think I made eye-contact with the bar-tender for two minutes straight!"

Their smile suddenly faded and it seemed like they spaced out for a moment before turning to me and asking, "Do you wanna start some trouble, like the old days?"

I opened my mouth, then closed it again, breaking eye-contact with them while my eyes skimmed over the people crowded in the ballroom.

"Yes. I would love to," I said, turning back to them. "Let's do it!" I exclaimed, placing my empty glass on the floor beside my chair and leaping off it, eager to start some mischief.

"This'll be fun, trust me darling," DT grinned, taking me by the hand after putting down their own glass, and leading me away to the backdoor, and slipping out into the chilly night air on the Snow Kingdom. "We'll brainstorm ideas out here."

Small flakes of glittering snow floated down around us, landing on Double Trouble's adorable ears, which twitched whenever a flake touched them. Snow soaked into my fancy black combat-boots, but it was worth it, standing in the snow with DT.

"Whew, it's cold," they gasped, hugging their shawl tightly around their torso. "C'mere."
I stood there, arms around my own shoulders, staring at them. "Uh, what?"
"Come here! Your nose is actually red, now, come here!" they smirked, opening their arms to me.
I took a hesitant step forward, freezing for a moment, before leaning against Double Trouble's chest, as they wrapped their arms around me, the feathers of their shawl almost preventing me from breathing. It was incredibly comfortable and slightly warmer. And they smelled amazingly nice.
