"Yamamoto Koji?!"
Kana blinks in surprise. "Oh, I didn't think you would have guessed correctly."
"No way?!" Bou-san shouts while freaking out. "Does he live here too?"
"Um, no. He did recently visited, but that was a few weeks ago."
"Aw man!" Bou-san dejectedly says. His posture immediately deflates. "Who knew I missed such a famous man..."
"Is my uncle really that famous?" Kana wonders how famous Uncle Koji could be if Bou-san was reacting this way.
"Do you really not know?! Your uncle isn't just any item collector. He collects sacred items. Whether it's possessed or spiritual, he's helped a lot of people by getting those items out of their hands."
"Well he has been on TV a couple of times... I didn't think you guys would know about him though. He likes to stay low from all the attention."
"Are you kidding me? He's even met Na- I mean the famous Oliver Davis," Bou-san quickly corrected himself. Fortunately, Kana didn't seem to catch his mistake or Naru's intense glare towards Bou-san.
"Ah I did hear about that. He went to Great Britain a few years ago."
"Don't worry Kana, it's just this guy who has heard of your uncle. Anyways, how come he has a different surname?" Ayako asks changing the subject.
"Ah, it's his alias. If he's really as famous as Bou-san says, he did that to avoid trouble for us and the cafe," the young woman says. She then face towards Mai. "So how does sleeping work with your ESP?"
"Ah! Well when I sleep, I sometime get visions," Mai states shyly rubbing the back of her head.
"Not only that, our little lady has a great intuition too!" Bou-san adds.
"Wow, that's amazing and one great responsibility to have!" Kana shouts in awe.
"R-really?" Mai says.
"Mhm! Uncle Koji always tells me that having special abilities isn't always as great as it seems. Special abilities come with special responsibilities."
They then fell into a comfortable silence. Kana decides to quickly ask what was on her mind. "So... is there any updates to what's happening here? Sorry, I couldn't help but ask."
Mai's face actually brightens up as she says, "Naru said he has an idea." Both Bou-san and Mai gave each other a high five.
Kana smiles turning to face the back of Naru. "Is that true Shibuya-san?"
To everyone's surprise, he turns his head and nods at the girl.
[Earlier that day, Living Room]
Naru watches as both Mai and Matsuzaki-san tend to the shaken girl. He decides to not tell Lin what he had experience until he confirms it is true. If it is... it'll be a whole revelation for them.
Not only that, when he touched her, he happened to see two black beady eyes.
Before leaving the living room, Naru stops Hisakawa-san.
"Is that decoration new?" he asks the older man while gesturing towards it. On top of the mantel was a statue of a small tanuki. The tanuki was about the size of a football and had black beady eyes.
"Why yes it is. My brother gave it to Kana as a gift from one of his travels," Hisakawa-san says before heading back down to the café.
Naru was about to touch it until a firm hand was placed on his shoulders. It was Lin. He was always overbearing whenever he tries to use his psychic abilities.
Just nodding, the young man returns back down the stairs with the taller man following after him.
He'll just have to come back and try again when Lin wasn't around.
[Closing time, Dining Hall]
Shibuya-san requested to have everyone present when closing the case. Yeah, closing the case. Kana was flabbergasted that he already solved it.
With only everyone's items being misplaced and the thumping, she doesn't know what to conclude herself about the sudden haunting despite her infatuation with parapsychology.
Kana thought he was just going to share his idea to everyone. She didn't think his idea was the solution to this supernatural phenomenon.
But overall... Kana was really amazed. This young man, who is the same age, managed to solve something unimaginable to a common person's capability. She had to admit that she was a bit jealous of Shibuya-san.
Everyone but Uncle Haru, Shu, and even Shibuya-san were in the dining hall. Currently the two were finishing cleaning up the cafe after closing. Shibuya-san said that he will wait for the two men to finish before he starts.
Speaking of the young man, he was no where to be seen too.
Next to SPR's work tables, the boarding members all sat at a table together. Lin-san was currently going over the monitors while the other SPR members were standing nearby. Kana had sat down with the twins, each young adult on her side.
"So Hana, what did you find out?" Ami whispers to the long-haired girl next to her.
"Hm, nothing much. I know Shibuya-san has an idea. That's why I think he's closing the case, because he solved it."
"Wow, that was quick," whispered in Eri. "It's only the second day."
"What do you mean it's only the second day? Isn't it good that it's only been two days? Plus we've been dealing with all these ghost shenanigans all week," Ami states crossing her arms.
"Well I'm not too sure. Cases usually vary depending on what they are investigating. A lot of the ghost hunting TV shows stay investigating for a day or even a week but that's TV," Kana tells the twins.
"Iori is sure lucky. He's coming back home when all of this is over," Ami points out to the three of them.
"Hm, you're right," Eri agrees as Kana nods.
Finally the elevator dings. The three men they were waiting for finally arrive to the dining hall, but what caught everyone's attention was the covered item Shibuya-san was carrying in his hands. For some reason, the shape underneath the white cloth looked familiar to Kana.
Shibuya-san first nods to Lin-san, and then he walks towards everyone as the older man turned and opened his laptop.
"I will now disclose this case," he states walking towards everyone. They all watched him in confusion as he places down the mystery item. Shibuya-san then reveals it by pulling the sheet off it.
"Isn't that mine?!" Kana shouts.
