xxxxx This chapter is going to be a little mature so do not read if violence and blood gets to you. I'll work on another update next weekend. Remeber to vote and follow and I hope you have a nice day! xxxxx
I rode hard for the rest of the night and passed two villages after I had exited a dense forest. I then noticed that my stallion was tired and so I decided that at the next village I arrived in I would stop and rest. Throughout my journey I was left to ponder my experiences, I was left with more questions than answers and I didn't know if I wanted to figure them out. At some point I had gained an excruciating headache that didn't let up the entire journey and I was starting to become delusional thinking that at times I heard silent whispers.
By the time the begining signs of the dawn were emerging, I came across a small quiet village. As I arrived I thought to myself, surely by now Death has figured out that I was no longer there, he would definitely send out troops to look for me and I still had a few villages to go. I went down the street and took in the small houses and farms, the road was just dirt and I worried that no one might give me room.
It seemed that no one was awake let alone alive but luckily I saw a farmer's son beginging the days work, so I led my (technically stolen) horse over to him to start and work my charm. As I approached I noticed he was filling some wooden buckets with the water from the town's well. Some of my buttons were still undone but I figured I might not need them what with his morning friend and all.
"Why good morning my friend! How lucky am I to stumble upon such a nice looking man, say do you know of where I might find room and someplace to eat?" I layed on the charm as I schmoozed my way into this guy's pants. All men really were the same I mused. Buying what I was selling he seemed to take my hint and answered warmly.
"Why we don't get very many traveler's but you can stay with me and my cousins if you don't mind a rowdy house full of men." He laughed at his little joke and I chuckled along in responce and assured him that I had no problem with men. So onward we went the farm boy leading the way as I dragged my poor dead tired horse to his farm. We went past some little houses and a bakery before leaving the villages boundaries and on to his families farming property. As we neared the farmers house my horse suddenly got spooked and it took both of us to calm him down.
"Here, I'll take care of your horse and put it in the barn, why don't you go in and wait for me inside? I apologize, no one is home right now because everyone is still out working." I thanked him and said it was no trouble. I started to go inside but I stopped and yelled back at him. "If you don't mind me asking, what is your name?" The man looked up and smiled while he replied. "Beautiful stranger you may call me Abram!"
When I entered the house I noticed it was small, from the outside I knew that but on the inside with only two rooms I was left to wonder where the rest of his family was. Something felt off about the small house but before I could think about it more Abram walked in. Suddenly my headache intensified and I winced in responce.
"I tried to feed your horse but it seemed spooked by something so it didn't eat much, hey are you ok?" He came over to me and I put my hand up to stop him, I needed space to breathe. Breathing in and out I spoke softly, "If I could just have a glass of water and somewhere to sit? My head..." I started swaying on my feet and he came over and grabbed my hand leading me to a nearby chair.
"I'll be right back and bring you some tea for your headache." I leaned my head back and closed my eyes, I felt something was off, like something was really wrong.
"The alchemist's lair..."
"Heed the warnings..."
"THOSE WHO WANDER SHALL BE FOUND."
