MARKO'S POV:
The pain in my chest was becoming unbearable, clutching at my chest it felt like someone was ripping my heart out. "ASH!" Hearing everyones screams made me panic as I tried to get to Max's house, but the pain was causing my vision to blur. "Marko, are you okay?" Paul was concerned as he saw the pain written all over my face. Looking up at him he knew something was terribly wrong, he grabbed my arm helping me towards the gate. That's when I saw a figure laying in the middle of the bridge.
No! No! It can't be Ash. Tears started to form in my eyes, this is what David meant. I looked at David and he was already staring at me, a sorrowful look softening his normally hard facial features. "No! No! No! Ash, please be okay!" Alice said between sobs. Mike and Sam rushed past us as I struggled to stand up my breathing becoming shallow. I could see Mike lift Ash's head as her body seemed limp. My legs gave way as Paul tried keeping me up, Dwayne grabbed my other side trying to steady me.
"I need to see her, please, I need to" I pleaded with my brothers, "I don't think it's a good idea bud" Dwayne whispered. I couldn't make out what Alice, Reah and the Emerson's were saying. All I could see was everyone crying and Reah brushing Ash's hair off of her face. There has to be something we can do looking at David hoping he had an answer.
ALICE'S POV:
"Reah, can you feel that?" I asked my sister. Touching Ash I could feel her warmth draining and her heart beat become shallower but there was something else. Her life wasn't the only thing I could feel inside her. "She's..." Reah started. Looking at her, shaking my head, I didn't want Ash's brothers to hear. If she pulled through it was her secret to tell, not ours.
DAVID'S POV:
Marko looked at me hoping I could help, I was at a loss. I didn't know what to do, none of us truly wanted Ash gone. Staring back at her limp body I made my way to them, "Is there anything we can do?" My voice smaller than usual. Reah looked up at me with her bloodshot and puffy eyes, "I don't know" her voice as small as mine. Alice looked deep in thought as Ash lay there her warmth dwindling. Sam and Mike were sitting there with empty expressions as Star hugged Mike. I could see the Frogs awkwardly standing near Sam offering support for the poor boy, you could tell he was close with his sister and as much as these kids pissed me off I felt for them.
"Wait!" Alice bought us all back to reality. The Emerson's and I staring at her, waiting for her to continue. "Ash's letter, what did she say to Marko?" She questioned us. "Wait! Didn't she say something about giving him a part of her soul" Reah had hope behind her words. "If she drinks his blood she will become one of them, but he can save her" Reah finished as we all looked towards Marko. "We have to be quick, we're losing her" Alice yelled as I started walking towards Marko and the boys. "Quick Marko! We don't have much time" I said trying to help him towards Ash.
MARKO'S POV:
David helped me walk towards Ash, I needed to see her but what did David mean we don't have much time? "Marko, you're our last hope" Reah's voice was needy. As I made my way towards them my eyes fell upon her body, blood had stained her dress. The pure white now a dark red and her blood drying around her wound and mouth. I couldn't control the tears, I never had the chance to tell her how I felt.
"Marko...Hey... Marko..." Alice snapped me out of my thoughts looking up at her a soft smile on her face. Why was she smiling, the one person I felt alive with was gone. She could sense my sadness as she began to speak, "You are the only one who can save her".
What did she mean save her, she was gone. I looked back down at Ash stroking her face, she was still ever so slightly warm. "What do you mean?" I questioned. "Your blood. Your blood is the only thing that can save her. You love her right?" I nodded at Alice's question. "Then you need to turn her" My eyes widened looking at Mike and Sam they held the same hope as everyone else. They didn't have to tell me twice. I bit down on my wrist piercing the skin, watching my blood fall onto her chapped lips. I picked her up dragging her so I could hold her in my arms, trying to make sure she got every drop. I tried wiping the dried blood from her face and leant down to place a kiss on her forehead. I needed her, she needed to come back to me. "Please come back to me, I can't lose you" I softly whispered.
